Playing coop game in dynasty mode

My buddy and I recently started playing NBA 2005 in dyansty mode. We are basically using one team, after playing several games - we noticed the following problems:
1) Since one guys is locked in playing the power forward and the other is unlocked, when you pass the ball - the switching gets screwed up. The player becomes cpu controlled all of a sudden. Its reallly irritating...
2) When you post up and drive in, sometimes the player who takes the shot hits the back portion of the goal thus commiting an out of bounds violation. Whats causing that?
Anybody ideas?
