How does this injury occur? I have never seen this happening to a player while playing..only simulating.

This post is a joke right?

nah, i've had it happen to me.
i did a fantasy draft with the knicks, simmed so that we were in the finals, and i played that game vs. the rockets. allen iverson on my team drives to the hoop, and goes up for a layup, shaq comes out from under, and hits iverson and iverson goes into that motion and he falls, and the whistle blows, and it shows iverson bending over, then the cutscene ends. and bob sura is shooting the free throws for ai.

I've had it happen to Juwan Howard on the rockets... he was bending over with his hand on his back, the commentators said it may be a torso or back injury.... then when the medical staff PDA'd me... they said it was a broken nose

which was extremely weird.... what was even more weird was that he was injured for 8 days... then injured for another 3 weeks straight after the 8 days

I think the commentators and Juwon Howard are right about the back problem. The medical staff claimed it was the nose, not the back, so it would take only 8 days. After the 8 days, the medical staff found out it was in fact, the back that was injured, so hence the 3 weeks. They were too embarassed to admit that it was a back problem.

lol, actually... in the injury report... the 8 days was an unplayable broken nose, while the 3 weeks was a playable broken nose

I think when people get injuries like this...you should see gear to help the problem. Like for a broken nose, the face mask that Rip Hamilton wears. A sprained wrist...a wrist pad thingy...something like that would add a lot more realism to the game IMO.

I had this happen to garnett once, the weird thing was it was not in a game when it happened. I finished one game without the injury but before i played my next game my PDA beeped and said that Garnett suffered a broken nose!
Good idea about the different support and face mask. If you have you player wear a knee support then his chances of getting a knee injury should be lessen, same thing with the arm and wrist supports.

Yes, this could also be a benefit of playing with them...

The preview is down as of now though, but maybe I'll fix that when I get a chance. But try it out, it's good. Or check to see for one of my jersey previews, he might be in one.
I found a pic of it...

That's really good! It's hard for me to distinguish between face painting and the mask, but if he's moving, then I'm sure you can't tell it's only "painted" on. Nice work!!!
