Talk about NBA Live 2005 here.

If you could make ONE improvement in Live 2005, what would it be? Don't turn it into a whole list of things because then it becomes really a thread for the Wishlist. Just ONE and no ties you cheaters!

Here's mine:
I'd have to go with saving in game settings. Camera and playbook, nothing more irritating than having to do the same thing over and over and over every single time you play a game.

Just improved graphics so they look as sharp or sharper than ESPN. ESPN only gets attention because of their graphics, but Live has better gameplay as it is now, but once you put those good graphics with gameplay it provides for a more fun, realistic experience.

Higher Nets... Cause it looks like the net is only 3 feet taller than an average NBA player. Live 03 did a good job with that.
Sun Dec 12, 2004 7:35 am
i suppose i can't say headshape editing
I'll go with the camera save.....that's so annoying.

Smoother gameflow with better passing and movement.
I don't want the passing to be: slow pass, catch, stop, then repeat. This applies to all the passing in the game, including passes off fastbreaks. I don't want players to stand around in their favorite spot and be scared to move and cut.

in game saves, its very useful for those moments when something pops up and you have to leave in a hurry.

My vote, even though this isn't a vote.

The In-game save thing would come in handy.
or change those damn ugly and BLURRY sneakers!

Split each foul slider into two: user and cpu.

My camera is saved how I like it so I don't know what you people are on about.

problem with blurry sneakers? Go over to nbalive.org and download a file for it, it's crisp as hell...and of yeah...it has all the shoes unlocked plus some live 2004 shoes.

You're camera is saved?!? How on earth did you manage that? I've tried saving settings and every other thing you can think of but yet and still I have to fix it every time. It annoys me too because I like getting off to good starts and having to go and get rid of the wretched
Zoom in the paint (who the heck uses that shit anyway?) everytime disrupts my flow....
If you can shed some light on how to save camera settings please, enlighten a brother!
Sun Dec 12, 2004 7:42 pm
I saved my preferred camera angle (Press Box) as the default simply by saving the settings. However, I don't think I changed the zoom so I can't say for sure one way or another.
I'll have to suggest a couple of "one" improvements as I'm not sure if one is acceptable as a single improvement.
1. Just have some of the little things from previous years such as having less than 12 players on the active rosters while using all three IR spots, saving stats, etc. All the small touches.
Alternatively...
2. I too would have to go with saving playbook settings and the ability to modify those settings outside of games. Thus, you could modify your saved settings in preparation for the next game rather than pausing the game before the tip off.

There would be some, but if just one to show how little things can make a player very mad. I come with saving auto-zoom off forever and not doing it 82 times a season

Yeah, I did the same as well. I should have been a bit more specific, while it does in fact save your camera preference you have to turn off
auto zoom every time. Why wouldn't it save that right along with the camera? I HATE that damn auto zoom...

men, I've got some patchs for you!!!!

Sorry for being sarcastic men, but I think that you don't realize how much EA Sports ***** us.

I can't say EA Canada ***** us (

), but the reality is that they are horribly inconsistent and need a person there to keep them on track. I hereby volunteer my services!
For instance, isn't it funny how the instant replay feature has taken a step BACK this year? The control is horrendous, down is up and vice versa. Cumbersome doesn't even BEGIN to describe this feature in 2005 and in 2004 it was just fine. That's what frustrates me about them and why I feel they need my help!

hmm.. i cant think of anything else at this moment but the damn statistics.i still cant understand why ea removed the per game statistics, especially in team statistics.i thought it was going to be better, like adding career highs and other stats, but turns out be worse than 04

True indeed, and what's up with not being able to check any statistics from the substitution screen anymore? I was so used to looking at the stats when doing subs to determine who to put out there or not. Now I have to leave and go to a totally different screen, sounds trivial but it's irritating.....

i can't believe i forgot about this. i'm changing my vote from saving the camera zoom.
BRING BACK PLAYER STATS ON THE SUBSTITUTION SCREEN

Dre, I really admirate you when I see you considering things in that positive way.
EA Sports clearly takes us for fools: you can't deny it, removing a feature like cutscene is OK, but the removing of ALL OTHER features are and remain unexplainable, especially such an "easy" thing to code that is the save game feature.
Every year, in october, I see hundreds of people here rushing in stores, then complaining about the game two weeks later. If most of people here would boycott the next version of the game, at last just for a little period, EA Sports would certainly put us into consideration.
For me, it's clear: even if Live 2005 is better than 2004, I won't buy this game.

EDIT: it's ok i downloaded the files!!

I would like to change the PLAYER MODELS. They should copy the ESPN models & graphics..
Wed Dec 15, 2004 1:02 am
for me i want a better, improved, elaborate dynasty modes. i can manage to change the camera every game, or i can live without the in game saving, or not that detailed graphics. but if they improve the dynasty as a whole that would be great. inside that dynasty mode, transaction would be like in nba, you can use mid-level and players minimum, player wont accept your offer coz of money, better ai trading and other stuff like that and maybe an owner mode like madden.
