Talk about NBA Live 2005 here.
Sun Dec 05, 2004 7:24 pm
I've completed version 1.02 of the current roster update for NBA Live 2005. As always, you can download it
here. Remember that you will no longer have to wait in a download queue.
Updates for v1.02:
- 2004/2005 Rosters updated through December 4th, 2004
- Ratings updated for better performance
- Positions updated for better substitution patterns
- Some player data corrected
- Slider suggestions included
Remember that you can always provide feedback here in the Support forum or via email.
A couple of other notes:
- The slider suggestions can also be found here.
- A couple of teams have more than 15 players right now; as NBA Live 2005 only supports 15 players, I have had to omit those players from the rosters (Corsley Edwards in New Orleans, the three replacements that Indiana has signed).
As far as Indiana is concerned, I've updated their roster as best I can. As mentioned I left off Haislip and the others, but with Reggie Miller and Anthony Johnson back in action their lineup is fairly accurate - as accurate as I can get with the game's limitations.

Andrew, I have a few suggestions, because I must always change it when I install your roster.

I think it makes the game a bit more realistic although it is not very important.
You must change :
- Phoenix's ABBREV in teams.dbf to PHX
- Washington's ABBREV to WSH or you can leave WAS, it will be alright
- East and West All-stars to EAST and WEST.
And, last thing, can we change the Spain national team to play with them ?
Oh, I forgot, it'll be excellent if you could put accurate accessories.

I might be able to help you.
Thanks...
P.S. : It is the first time I post suggestions

hey andrew!! great update!!
one little heads up is to take out Andres Nocioni's headband, on the Bulls...
that's it
cheers

The update is great. I just wish you could use it online. You could use Andrew's updates last year, what the hell did they do to take that option out this year?
Mon Dec 06, 2004 7:44 pm
Great Update. Just some notes,
LAL: Tierre Brown is #5 not #6
the current linup has Grant , George, and Vujacic on the IL.
Although, that prob is niether here nor there since, we're about to trade Rush to the Bobcats for a draft pick, and that will mean more shuffling of the roster coming really soon.
A side note, I'm just guessing here but the Lakers may pick up Tony Bobbit, until Malone comes back in January. So all those Bobbit fans have something to look forward too.

Not sure what happened there, the NLSC roster should only overwrite previous versions of the roster.

Andrew, a little suggestion :
LeBron James' FG rating is a bit high, he can easily shoot a 3 pointer with the new roster...
Tony Parker is perfect

.
I think Carmelo should be a bit faster...
Andre Miller's FG is a bit high.
That's all for the moment.

the sliders are for All-Star or Superstar right?
Tue Dec 07, 2004 6:00 am
Well, read what Andrew said at the top of the sliders...
(Optimised for 12 min quarters and for the harder difficulty) (I think it's almost that

.

great sliders andrew!!! thx!!
hey, can you boost DETs Carlos Delfino's dunk rating??? 10 is WAY low, he can really put it down sometimes...
and off with Nocioni's headband too!!
thanks!

quick question, is it possible to replace the players.dbf in my fantasy league with the latest NLSC players.dbf roster file? Or will it mess up the rosters, I can't recall how it works.
Thu Dec 09, 2004 1:22 am
Thank you for all the effort involved in making this patch
Here are some little suggestions...
1.Dwight Howard's off/def rebounding and blocking ratings are a bit too low, while his passing rating is way too high.
2.Shaun Livingston often has a big afro on his head and wears long socks when he's on the court.
BTW, is it possible to put Dennis Rodman and Sean Chen of the ABA team "Orange County Crush" in the free agent market? After all, they are also players waiting to be called up by an NBA team. I may be asking too much...but if it could be done, A LOT of people would be MUCH grateful

Boost a little Tyson Chandler's OFF REB, 77 is low, he grabs EVERY BOARD when he's inspired....
Also Kirk Hinrich's FG should go up a bit...

4 more years, he'll be a superstar!!

Depends if you're relying on season stats being saved. If so, replacing the players.dbf with the latest one from the patch will wipe all that season data.
Thanks for the latest suggestions everyone, all noted.

andrew, i noticed that you've changed the accessory color for the denver nuggets, how do i bring it back to the original? what file am i going to edit?
a few additional corrections you need to make:
travis best is no.6
kendal gill(no.12) signed with the bucks
and a suggestion, make jerry stackhouse as sg/sf not sf/sg. it's because when you do a dynasty and you dont control dallas, stackhouse replaces josh howard on the starting line-up. if you make him a sg/sf, he wont replace finley because finley have a higher rating than him. another thing, change also marquis daniels to sg/sf not sg/pg because jason terry is the back-up pg. this way finley, howard, stackhouse and daniels will replace each other randomly......
i think thats all, hope it helps.... nice roster patch v1.02 by the way, the only thing that bothers me is the denver accessory thing. im about to use it in my dynasty then in my first game, i noticed that the color is way-off.

Nazr Mohammed has 13.0 PPG 9.7 REBS and 57.9% just in 28.9 mins. Can you improve his rating?

Restore the original teamgear.dbf file.

But When I open the game every time is loading old rosters. And I must load new NLSC roster...

Every time, I must load rosters ??
That's correct. NBA Live 2005 loads up the default rosters every time you start the game; it's not an issue with the NLSC roster.
Thanks for the latest suggestions, all noted.
