Chauncey-less Pistons pummel Cavs despite combined 64 points from Redd and James.

Image Image Image

Despite making 32 points apiece, LeBron James and Michael Redd's Cavs have been beaten up by the Champion Detroit Pistons. Tayshaun Prince played a great game scoring 26 points at The Palace. Darko Milicic contributed a career-high 10 rebs off the bench while Richard "Rip" Hamilton dished out 6 assists. Zydrunas Ilgauskas dominated the boards grabbing 17. Redd has been scoring 30 for the 2nd consecutive game but got cold at regulation. The Cavs had few contributions off the bench. The final score was 100-91.

James' Triple-Double help Cavaliers past Celtics.

Image Image Image

After having a 32-point game at Motown, LeBron James had his 3rd Triple-Double of the season. James scored 29 points, grabbed 11 boards, and dished out 11 assists. Michael Redd also had a spectacular performance scoring his 3rd consecutive 30-point game. Eddy Curry finished with a double-double scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Darius Miles had a career-high 29 points for Boston. The win over the Celtics help the Cavaliers improve to 16-8 this season.

No. I got Eddy Curry for Gooden and I got Ricky Davis from the Celtics for Miles. I got Ricky through... it's a long story so as with Redd. :?

Thanks for the comments (Y)

Age doesn't matter. Cassell scores 45. Cavaliers got eaten at their own den.

Image Image Image

Sam Cassell scored a season-high 45 points to lift the Timberwolves to a 10-point win against the Cavs. For the 4th consecutive time, the Cavs' Michael Redd scored 30+ points ranking him 2nd in the League Leaders in points. LeBron James scored 26 points then fouled out with 6:26 left in regulation. Eddy Curry also finished with 10 points while grabbing 14 rebounds before fouling out with 3:28 left. The Timberwolves manhandled the Cavaliers in CrunchTime starting from a 4-point play from the red hot Sam Cassell that ended with a 9-0 run for the visiting Wolves. The loss made the Cavs' record fall to 16-9. Cleveland has lost 4 of its' last 5 games.

Basically, instead of giving a stat line (28 points, 10 rebound, 4-9 from the field) The birdie formula computes all that into one single number to determine the 'value' of that player's performace. The Birdie Breakdown is simply the list of the players on your team and their value and sorted to most valuable to least.

I hope that helps and doesn't scare you off...

Hungry Cavs Murder Nets.

Image Image Image

After going 4 losses in 5, the Cavaliers finally win. Throughout the game, the Cavaliers dominated the game holding the Nets to 32% shooting. Michael Redd snapped a 4 game 30-point performance missing it by a bucket scoring 29. He made 66% beyond the arc at 4-6 shooting. LeBron James had a spectacular night making 27 points and scooping up 16 boards, 5 offensive. Z also had a double-double scoring 16 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Cleveland's bench scored poorly making only 7 points for 3-11 shooting. The Nets were led by Alonzo Mourning's 16 points and 9 rebounds. New Jersey shot 30% from the 3-point line. The Cavaliers will face the Hornets at Cleveland after Christmas Day.

Career Night for Cavs' Redd.

Image Image Image

At Cleveland, Ohio-native Michael Redd scored a career-high 53 points. He shot 59% on 19-32 shooting making 11-18 beyond the arc. James and Redd's combined 87 points helped uplift the Cavs for a come from behind win against New Orleans. The game ended in a 26-1 run by the Cavs. The Cavaliers had a season-high 125 points, 70% from Redd and James. Cleveland had 3 players in double figures. The trade for Redd was really a great move by the management and will most likely be the acquistion of the year.

Cleveland on a roll

Image Image Image

The Cavaliers have improve to 5-5 over the last 10 games. They beat the Atlanta Hawks 118-96. Newly-acquired Antoine Walker scored 28 for the Hawks followed by veteran Jon Barry with 22. During regulation, The Hawks couldn't get nearer than 16. The Cavs tandem, Redd-James, combined for 57. Eddy Curry contributed 20 points and 15 rebounds but has averaged 5 fouls per game which might make critical games difficult for the Cavs. The Cavaliers are now 13-5 vs. Eastern Conference Teams.
