hey guys what do u think about the shot block ratings in nba 2005 ?

after a 82-game season there is no player u made more than 3 blocks a game...no ben wallace, no theo ratliff....its just disappointing and unrealistic.

what about upgrading players' ratings ?

Can you rephrase that? I don't understand what you mean.

I think he means that after a 82 game season, no player averaged more than 3 blocks per game, not even guys like Ben Wallace and Theo Ratliff.

I suppose when a user is playing the CPU the blocks are unrealistic, but in the simmed games the blocks aren't as regular.

I agree, when is the user who is running the team you get far too many block shots and you lead easily the League Block leaders table even if you turn down the blocking slider. However, if you let the CPU run all teams they turn to be quite accurate. So you find yourself in trouble, what to do?? If you edit the block ratings the CPU team players will make fewer blocks and turn these players statistics less realistic, but if you don't your team could end each match with more than 20 blocks which is too unrealistic. Turning down the slider doesn't seem to be a solution at all, but it's still the best you can do about it.

I already tried giving all my players 0 blocking attributes. The taller defenders can still block easily.

I thought of a solution for future Live games. If a player is going to get blocked and knows it, instead of getting blocked, the player should somehow force a high arching shot, so that way jumpshot blocks would be rare, just like real life.
