Max Drive

Forgive me if this is the wrong section but do any of you guys own a max drive for PS2? It's a little USB type tool. I got one and installed it to my PC, but when i went to install it on my ps2, i keep getting a disc read error. Any ideas?

Maybe its faulty, these type's of devices dont like being dropped.

I got it to work, even though I ended up losing all of the data on both memory cards because I locked the Max Drive while I was transferring data.
