Oops, I thought I changed that already. Thanks for the heads up.

Great Rosters!

Fri Nov 19, 2004 2:23 am

Andrew - Thanks for the great rosters man! Very well done! (Y) :applaud:

great job!

Sat Nov 20, 2004 4:20 am

thanks for the roster patch. you did a great job! i have one question though. how come eventhough i unlocked all jerseys, gears, shoes and stuff using the NBA codes, whenever i load your roster patch, those items are still locked?

Sat Nov 20, 2004 10:17 am

I repeat that your roster doesn't work like the real roster(nba).
Nbalive 05 work like that:if you put the center backup at the #6 in the roster, the center will be the first who are leaving the court.if you put a guard backup at the #7 in the roster the guard is the second who's leaving,etc..etc..
and if look after match stats for each players the stats isn't right with the reallity.

I'm guessing it's because this year there's more files included in the roster patch, including files that control whether jerseys and such are unlocked. The suggestion has been made for me to unlock everything in the roster patch's files, which it seems that I will have to do.

Please understand that there are certain limitations and that the roster will not always behave as the real players do - some of it depends on your sliders, your style of play, the difficulty level, the gameplay and AI and so on and so forth.

If you would like to give some specific examples of errors and/or suggestions for corrections, please do. Simply saying "Your roster doesn't work properly" or "the information is wrong" doesn't really help me.

Now, as far as the bench lineup goes, I did make several changes with your suggestion in mind and referring to the boxscores on NBA.com (as well as the games I've seen so far). However, I find it's best to place the most used reserve ie the sixth man in the sixth spot so that they will place the most minutes of the reserves.

does this version have different ratings(better) than the original one. I am wondering because wherever Dwight Howard is rated(71) better than Bosh(68) which is simply stupid.

Sat Nov 20, 2004 4:16 pm

I have updated a lot of players in this version, but I still have changes to make.

Sun Nov 21, 2004 2:09 am

A few corrections with the Miami Heat:

Christian Laettner wears number 44, though he's listed as number 0 in the game.

No players on Miami's roster are allowed to wear headbands. It's team policy. Keyon Dooling, Damon Jones, and Laettner all wear them in the game, but obviously shouldn't.

Udonis Haslem is rated much too low for a player averaging 12.5 points (and leading the league in field goal percentage) and snaring 8.8 boards.

Maybe you wanna pump up Wade a bit, too. The kid is playing phenomenal ball, but is rated as a 75.

The game is strange, in that, the Heat, even with Shandon Anderson added to the roster, and the T-Wolves are listed as very lowly, which makes them as good as the Washington Wizards and Boston Celtics, and worse than the Toronto Raptors, New Orleans Hornets, and New York Knicks. Isn't their something that can be done to make it a bit more realistic?

ok...

Sun Nov 21, 2004 3:26 am

thanks for the reply dude! if that's the case, then i can't wait any longer for the next patch to come out.  happy gaming everybody!

Sun Nov 21, 2004 11:10 am

Thanks for the latest. (Y)

Unfortunately the way the overall ratings are calculated, sometimes teams are a little overrated or underrated. I still have ratings changes to make so I'll see what I can do, but I won't boost or decrease ratings unnecessarily just to affect the overall. I will try to address the issue as best as possible.

Also, please note that some teams are rated a little low because they have some of their top players on the injured list. But I'll look at it and see what I can do. (Y)

Tue Nov 23, 2004 6:52 pm

note: this corrections are for the uninjured rosters.
active roster=12 players, excluding the 3 injured players.
i think even though this is the uninjured roster, we should place players(out for the whole season) on the IL. i guess it's nba live 2006 job to activate them. ;)
**i suggest that we bring back all players natural position. for example, lebron james is the starting sf, but he is still a sg/sf(his natural position). i dont see the point of making him a sf/sg just because he starts as an sf. this applies to all players except for converted players like wade(pg/sg).

atlanta jason collier starting c/pf. he is the starting center, he was just injured.

boston al jefferson should be the first big men off the bench. plus walter mccarty is an outside shooter. and they have that in raef lafrentz in the starting lineup.

charlotte j. sampson should be in the active roster. this was mentioned by the team. they said that they need another big man off the bench.
bogans in the active rosters.

chicago f. williams in the active roster.

cleveland lebron james starting sf. but he still should be sg/sf.
ira newble is the starting sg. but he still should be sf/sg.
**some may disagree but ive seen a couple of games and monitor every single game of the cavs and they're starting lineup since their first win is c-ilagauskas,pf-gooden,sf-james,sg-newble,pg-mcinis. maybe they want to take advantage of lebron's quickness over other sf's and newble's size over other sg's.
s.williams in the active roster.
d. wagner in the active roster. varejao, jackson on injured.
l.harris should be sg/sf. he will not be needed to play pg with wagner activated. plus, he plays with pavlovic a lot in the second unit.
bench in order: snow, traylor, l.harris,wagner,diop,pavlovic,s.williams

dallas marquis daniels sg/sf. making him a pg screws up the rotation if stackhouse backs up finley. no one backs up j.howard.

denver greg buckner over d.johnson in the active roster. they have offense on v. lenard so they need defense off the bench.

detroit delfino over darvin ham in the active rosters.

golden state d.davis after fisher and cliff robinson on the active rosters.
pietrus in the active rosters.

indiana artest(suspended for rest of season) on injured list.
s.jackson starting sf. but still an sg/sf.
bench:croshere,f.jones,a.johnson,bender,pollard,harrison,j.jones

los angeles clippers starting lineup is kaman, brand, magette, kittles, jaric. mikki moore the second bigman
brand pf/c
magette sf/sg.
bench in order:wilcox,simmons,livingston,m.moore,q.ross,chalmers.

los angeles lakers b. grant pf/c
mihm 1st player off the bench.

miami bench d.jones,doleac,m.allen,s.anderson,dooling,person,wang

milwaukee ford starting pg
bench mason,m.james,m.williams,pachulia,kukoc,strickland,fizer

minnesota eddie griffin pf/c. he plays a lot of mins with garnett at center. i dont think garnett should be a pf/c thou.
bench: hudson,hassell,hoiberg,griffin,e.johnson,madsen

new jersey bench: mourning, scalabrine, planinic, vaughn(will play less if kidd is healthy),buford,a.williams,krstic.
best to IL because they will have 4 pg's on active roster. u dont need that when u have kidd.

new orleans mashburn on IL because he's out for season and is hinting on retiring. george lynch replaces him.
bench:armstrong,rogers,andersen,j.smith,d.west,garcia,nailon

new york allan houston starting sg.
bench: j.crawford,sweetney(pf/c),hardaway,williams,baker,ariza,norris

orlando bench: turkoglu,garrity,battie,stevenson,nelson,augmon,declerq.

philadelphia glen robinson on IL. he's not being used. he's on the trading block.
bench: green,williamson,korver,dalembert,skinner,salmons,ollie

phoenix bench: jacobsen,carbarkarpa,voskhul,hunter,outlaw,barbosa,lampe

portland bench: van excel,miles,patterson,frahm,telfair,stepania,pzybilla.
q.woods on IL coz he's on the trading block.

sacramento m.evans over k.martin

san antonio horry pf/c.
m.rose pf/c. i know he's a power forward but he is the first big man off the bench. plus he plays a lot of mins with duncan. and i mean a lot.
l. johnson replaces mike wilks in the active roster. with parker, udrih as pgs. plus both barry and manu's ability to play pg makes wilks eligible to be on the injured list.
bench: barry,rose,horry,brown,udrih,massenburg,l.johnson

seattle bench: murray,daniels,radmanovic,fortson,potapenko,collison,swift

toronto bench: marshall,peterson,murray,palacio,araujo,moiso,r.mason.
alvin williams on IL. he's likely out for season.

utah carlos arroyo starting pg.
j.collins starting center.
bench okur,harpring,bell,r.lopez,borchardt,snyder,eisley

washington bench: hayes,ruffin,dixon,jeffries,thomas,blake

Wed Nov 24, 2004 11:06 am

pls. include sliders!....

Wed Nov 24, 2004 9:52 pm

Thanks shrwnt. (Y)

Hoopwrecker: I should be including slider suggestions in the next update. I just don't want to include them until I have a set of suggestions that I'm satisfied with.

Thu Nov 25, 2004 9:12 am

Hey Andrew could u make Matt Boner's hair colour to red and increase his ratings a bit. And how come Chris Bosh's Rating is lower than D.Marshall.

Hope you take my 2 cents into consideration.

Thu Nov 25, 2004 4:05 pm

cleveland eric snow pg/sg.
jeff mcinis pg/sg.

chicago luol deng sf/pf.

atlanta starting lineup. c-collier,pf-walker,sf-harington,sg-childress,pg-k.anderson.
bench: delk,diaw,barry,willis,drobnjak,ivey,j.smith,mccoy

denver bench:nene,boykins,white,buckner,elson,(d.johnson or b.russell),tsikitishvilli

Thu Nov 25, 2004 4:06 pm

No problem, those definitely need to be fixed. Thanks for the heads up. :)

Thu Nov 25, 2004 6:39 pm

LAL: Brian Cook - He as a legitimate three point shot. He shot them like crazy during the preseason and after a bit of a slump he's been shooting them well in the regular season. I wouldn't know how high to set his rating, but it needs to be higher than 0 or whatever it currently is.

Thu Nov 25, 2004 6:52 pm

dang, man that's what i just came to this thread to post, that cook needs a bit of a 3-point shot.

how can buckner be on the bench as he started 8 of 11 games? He started at last the latest Nuggets game: NJ @ DEN

Fri Nov 26, 2004 2:35 pm

FT:76*
Dunk:80*
Stl:63*
Blk:20

Ok....Though some of these ratings maybe argued as too high(Freethrows)
I think he deserves them.I hope u consider these ratings Andrew on ur next roster update.Oh and for Kicks i gave him a dunkpack of 9 :) ....These ratings also make him compatible for the dunkcont.. :D

Shrwnt was referring to the Uninjured version of the rosters included in the NLSC update. ;)

Thanks for the suggestions OCP, I'll definitely consider them.

This should be SF/SG. Chapu (Nocioni) should be SF/PF. The Bulls are trying Deng at SG here and there, as they need a big 2 who can defend.

Good one! Yahoo refers him at #6. source: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/2653

It's #6 alright...

I'm pretty sure I've fixed Eisley's number ready for v1.02, but I'll double-check that. Thanks for the reminder. :)
