Jameer Nelson dunking?

Postby fgrep15 on Mon Nov 22, 2004 1:42 pm

So I was playing a game and Jameer Nelson dunked twince in the game, and another time I played with Orlando, and he dunked again.

So I go and check my ratings to make sure everything is right, and he has a 0 dunk rating yet he's dunking, and my dunk vs layup favours layups a LOT!!

I found this a little interesting, he dunks mroe than guys who have like a 20 dunk rating.

hes dunking in open court, not in traffic...its weird to see a lil guy dunk in traffic, course open court is understandable.

well it doesn't matter what he can do in the NBA. This is a video game- and his rating is 0.

Exactly, with a 0 rating he shouldn't, and Jameer can dunk in real life when in practice or something, but you won't see him dunking in games.

I'm pretty sure Speedy Claxton can dunk, cause he's the same height as me and is pretty athletic, and I do try to dunk in games, but for us smaller guys it's tiring to dunk, and it's still only 2 points.

ok guys i tried changing the dunk v.s. lay-up to 2 and now it works fine.... some small guys can dunk and some would just lay it up and get blocked.... hehehehe......

What's that have to do during a game though? It's a dunk contest, you are supposed to dunk, and even if I could dunk like Claxton, I wouldn't do it in a game, because I have to save my energy for other things.

Yea I'd assume so, he's athletic, but small guys hardly do it because first you don't always get such easy chances, and it's tiring since you have to go back down and play defense, no need to waste energy on 2 points.

Putting dunk vs layup to 2 will screw up other things though, athletic guys will do layups when they should dunk, I'll just live with it..

i can assure you that it wont ruin the game if you set dunk v.s. lay-up at 2..... i had a game last night, using the knicks v.s. the pistons. i had jamal crawford dunking 2 times in your face against rasheed wallace. just try it out and you will see.... just a suggestion..... even chauncey billups(cpu) dunked on a fastbreak which is realistic..... so i think setting the dunk v.s. lay-up at 2 is perfect.
