sidewinder playcalling, how?

how can i call a play with my microsoft sidewinder gamepad. it worked before on NBA live 04, by pressing the designated playcalling button plus an aadditional button for a particular play. but now when im doing it on live05, it calls a timeout instead of calling the play.
