Free Agentcy Dynasty Mode Bug or Not?

I'm currently playing Dynasty Mode with the rockets and acquired Keith Van Horn in a trade and won a championship in my first season. I left him unsigned along with Scott Padgett and luckily I end up signing Pau Gasol, Kwame Brown and several role players and won three consecutive championship. On those three seasons, I noticed that Keith & Scott was in the free agent roster for three years.

I offered them contracts but EA says that I'm over salary cap, I even offered contracts before season starts but big no. What frustrates me is when I accept offer of NJ Nets to manage them, I check out the roster of the Rockets and was shock! Keith and Scott was there with salarys of 5M and 4M although they are over salary cap.

I also noticed that everytime a superstar is left unsigned they always end up signing with their original team with new players and over salary cap.

Is this a bug or I'm just missing something?

well if a FA is not signed in real life his original team can resign him even if it puts the team over the cap.

Yeah your right with the FA thing but I tried signing them but failed. Just wonder if user controlled team can't signed back their own FA in Live 2K5?

ooops confusion, what I mean is can I sign my FA after the pre-season? It seems that the computer controlled teams can.
