Create a player question?

Sun Nov 14, 2004 12:03 pm

If I created a player in one roster, I wanted to move that same player with the same facial features to my dynasty? I checked the players dbf, and appereance dbf--and nothing.--

It should be in appearance.dbf

Ok, what is the "HEADWCOL" for? Is that for the created face?

I did that, but the player doesn't look the same as i made him in create a player mode. I ask is because I want to add realistic players to my dynasty for the upcoming draft. I don't plan on patching each new player--but I want to create them in a regular roster. Then with BDF commander--transfer the information from that roster (created player) to the appropriate player in my dynasty.

Basically, if I want to create "JP Johnson"
I would create him, then save it to a roster file.
Then I would use DBF editior to to copy his information and substitute it to a scouted rookie in my dyansty.

I tried this, but the scouted rookie does not look like the original created player I made. I can get the name correctly chnaged but not the appreance. Any help would be great!

there something going on between the players, appearance, and faces dbf files that i THINK might be the problem. i tried testing with a created players attributes to a generated rookie and it just completely ignored everything and made the player just a base white player when both players were black.

but when i changed the generated players iscreated to true, then his faceid in appearance.dbf to 0 and went to edit him ingame i could change all his looks then. the next player i tried it on when i set his faceid to 0 and went ingame to edit him, he had the exact same looks as the previous player after the editing, as opposed to the base white player model i got at first.

was this during dynasty?

yeah, i'm still trying some different things but so far there haven't been any problems with crashes as long as the fields are correct. but if the id fields are wrong it will crash if you try to edit the appearance after you change the players iscreated to true.
