Hi and Welcome to my LA Clippers Dynasty!
I'll quickly hook you up with the main Information:

CLUB HISTORY
ImageImageImageImageImage
The Los Angeles Clippers first came into existence as the Buffalo Braves in 1970. The Braves were one of three expansion franchises to join the NBA that year (the Portland Trail Blazers and the Cleveland Cavaliers were the other two), as the league dueled with the upstart American Basketball Association for prominence. After struggling through their first few campaigns, the Braves soon found playoff success under the coaching of the legendary Dr. Jack Ramsay and high scoring Bob McAdoo. Unfortunately, drastic changes in the organization's ownership during the 1976-77 season threw the team into a tailspin, resulting in back-to-back losing seasons.

Following a proposal by then-NBA attorney David Stern, the Braves were allowed to leave Buffalo after the 1977-78 season for San Diego. The deal was a complicated one, as Buffalo Braves owner John Y. Brown traded places with Boston Celtics owner Irv Levin. Levin, a California businessman, was unhappy in Boston and relished the opportunity to own a team in his home state. Levin immediately renamed the club the Clippers due to San Diego's bustling harbor and seaside locale.

Under Levin, the Clippers posted respectable records, but could not seem to reach the playoffs due to a loaded Western Conference. In the Clippers' first San Diego season, their 43 victories were impressive, but just shy of playoff caliber. That year, six Western Conference playoff teams tallied at least 45 victories.

After missing the playoffs for the third straight year, Clippers ownership again changed hands as Beverly Hills attorney and real estate mogul Donald T. Sterling purchased the team in June of 1981. Despite the play of new additions Tom Chambers and Terry Cummings, the Clippers continued to struggle in San Diego over the next few seasons. Injuries plagued the team and box office numbers plummeted. Finally, with attendance averaging fewer than 4,500 fans per game for the third consecutive season, Sterling moved the team north to Los Angeles in 1984.

On November 1, 1984, the Los Angeles Clippers debuted at the Los Angeles Sports Arena with a 107-105 win over the New York Knicks. The arena became the team's home for the next fifteen seasons, during which the franchise snapped a playoff draught, hired NBA legend Elgin Baylor as Vice President of Basketball Operations, and landed 2 #1 overall draft picks in a 10 year span.

The 1998-99 campaign marked the Clippers' final season at the L.A. Sports Arena as the team again changed addresses. In 1999-00, the franchise moved just up the street into the new state-of-the-art STAPLES Center in downtown Los Angeles. Since making the transition to STAPLES, the team has broken attendance records in each year of its residence and has added a crop of talented young players that have dazzled Los Angeles crowds

GM INFO
I'm actually looking to shake the Team up a bit in the first few weeks, I'm not happy with Kerry Kittles' and Chris Kaman's abilities and will be looking to trade them for either a true Center or an tall athletic forward.I'll also be looking to establish Maggette as the Team's Franchise Player becuase he fits my playing Style better than Brand. We'll see,though...

I'll post the first update later...

STARTING LINEUPS

KEY MATCHUP
Image

FIRST QUARTER
The Clippers where taking a risk with Ben Gordon in the Starting 5 instead of Bobby Simmons,
but the first Quarter showed that Mike Dunleavy made noting but the right decision.
Gordon went 6 for 6 from the field including 2 for 2 from beyond the arc, and
scored 15 Points to lead the Clippers to a 30-19 first Quarter lead. Elton Brand was a great presence in the first
quarter scoring 6 points and dishing out 5 assists.
30-19

SECOND QUARTER
After 6 Points in the first Quarter Corey Maggette felt like he had to take over the game.
He scored 13 Points in the second stanza including 3 thunderous
slams over the likes of theo ratliff and travis outlaw.
The Clippers bench was also coming through in the second
Q with Rookie Loul Deng scoring 7 and Marco Jaric stealing
3 Balls and scoring 3. Unbelievable good
Defense helped the Clippers to establish a 57-33 Halftime lead.
57-33
Image
THIRD QUARTER
The Clippers played a somewhat lazy 3rd Quarter with N'diaye,
Deng,Williams,Maggette and Simmons on the Court for most
of the Quarter. Deng however looked extremely promising
and scored another 5 Points including a last second
3 Pointer over Shareef Abdur-Rahim. The Game was
already out of reach for the Blazers as the only managed
to cut the deficit to 15.
76-61

FOURTH QUARTER
The Blazers however where not able to continue their run
in the Fourth Quarter due to good play by Shaun Livingston,
Corey Maggette and Elton Brand. The Trio combined for
22 of 29 Clippers Points in the 4th. with Lionel Chalmers
scoring the other 7 Points in Grabage Time.

FINAL RESULT: CLIPPERS 105-87 BLAZERS

Is that a jersey patch? Those jerseys look real good.

Solid trade you got, Deng and Gordon will make a good nucleus for you alongside Livingston and Brand. Good update!

Both Teams are coming from wins in their first Games.
The Clippers main Target will be to get Nene in the Game,
he need to learn playing with Brand and Maggette. Also Defense will be the main Focus and Nene also has the biggest Task here: he need to slow down Memphis standout Pau Gasol.

GAMEDAY 2 REPORT
92Image @ Image110

The Clippers seem to be in great shape as they
got their second straight win in their season home opener
against the memphis grizzlies.

FIRST QUARTER
After a somewhat nervous start the Clippers started
to score in bunches in the middle of the first quarter.
Newly added Center Nene looked faboulos as he
collected 5 rebounds and scored 6 Points in the first quarter.
Elton Brand and Corey Maggette where also off
to a good start combining for another 12 Points in the first stanza.
Memphis however got great shooting from
Mike Miller who led the Team to 27 Points
to keep the Game close.
29-27

SECOND QUARTER
The Clippers started the second quarter with 5 bench
players on the court,
but where not losing any quality.
Especially Loul Deng and Mamadou N'diaye played
great off the bench providing the starting lineup with
a 10 point lead as the came in with 5 minutes left to play.
The startes played out the quarter solid and where
able to establish a 13 point lead at the half.
62-49

THIRD QUARTER
LA started the second half pretty sloppy and
allowed the grizz to cut the Lead to just 8 points
before Marko Jaric sent it back to 17 with
3 straight three pointers. 6th Man Loul Deng
injured his arm in collision with Lorenezn
Wright and will probably miss some games.
88-71

FOURTH QUARTER
Coach Dunleavy decided to leave the
Bench players in for the first 5 Minutes of the
final Quarter, led by Linel Chalmers and
Bobby Simmons the Benchies played solid
and didn't let the grizzlies some closer.
The Game was already over as Brand,Nene,
Maggette and Gordan checked back in but
Elton Brand continued to produce, grabbing
6 boards in the final Quarter.
110-92

RESUME
The Team looks really promising at the
Moment, the Low Post and Backcourt Tandems
of Nene and Brand and Jaric and Gordan already
mesh perfectly and Corey Maggette has been
devastating offensively. The Bench also looks
really reliable, eventhough Loul Deng's injury
might make it a bit weaker, hopefully
greg buckner can fill the void.

GAMEDAY 3 PREVIEW
Image @ Image

While the Clippers already mesh pretty good
at this early stage of the season the 1-4 Nets are already
in major trouble. New Jersey has lost all of its 3 meeting with
Conference Rivals (Bostston,New York and Detroit) and suffered a
major humilation by the Mavericks at Opening Night (68-110).
Los Angelos is the clear Favourite in this Matchup, but they
shouldn't underestimate the Nets, who are a dangerous Team nevertheless.

STARTING 5s
Image
While the Nets have a clear advantage at point guard and
are ven at small forward the clips take all other positions
with ease, especially shooting guard and power forward.
The Nets will need some good Team defense to slow down
Brand and Gordon.

KEY MATCHUP
Image
Jefferson is clearly New Jerseys best Offensive Weapon at this point,
and some regard him as a defensive stopper, if Jefferson can produce
and slow down the high scoring maggette the nets stand a chance against the
fast breaking clippers.

stay tuned...

Clean presentation! One thing though: didn't you notice yet that the post background is the same every other post and these posts between have this other background color? Just asking because the last post shows this starting 5 pic which looks really good, but the background is another color.
