So far so good gameplay wise, it does have a fun out of the box feel to it and it did take me a minute to figure that you can no longer toggle between shot timming or real % you simply have to select shot timming on or off to let the cpu decide the shots fate but once I got passed that I was enjoying the gameplay.
Offensively on the ps4 looks different in respect that the kick out bug doesn't happen from the cpu or as its formally known the "Ben Simmons" bug i definitely don't have any issues with the cpu attacking the basket.
Defensively I dont see as many blow bys although there is the odd skating issues more so from the cpu rather than me but my favourite part of playing Defence is blocking shots and the on ball physics that have improved from last year, I played the Bulls vs Mavs to see rookie Cooper Flagg vs the old 90s black pinstripe jerseys of the Bulls and I think I found my new favourite 2k player to use in Matas Buzelis! The kid is active in this game.
The things I dont like so far apply to the ps4 version as expected still the out of date player likenesses for example No headband on Josh Hart, the magics Pablo still has his rookie afro and many of the courts are out of dates but one thing they did last year and this is to completely replace the jerseys and courts for teams that rebranded so the Clippers last year as well as the Magic in 2k26 however the Jazz only got new jerseys and have to play on last years court with the crowd wearing last years jerseys which is a complete color clash and annoying but I didnt expect anything more from 2k26 on ps4
