I have been trying to replace a portrait in NBA Live 2000 on PC in a virtual machine bc some of the editing tools will not run on a 64 bit OS and upon replacing the portrait by following this tutorial correctly (
https://www.nba-live.com/nbalivewiki/in ... e_Tutorial) but when I select the player with the new portrait when in the View Player screen when reordering rosters, the game crashes with this error pictured below.

It's been a while since I messed around with this stuff for NBA Live 2000 PC, but there might be a quicker method, especially if you're just replacing a portrait for an existing player. What are the exact steps you took to replace the portrait?

Which player are you updating? As I said it's been a while, but I might be able to put together a quicker step-by-step that doesn't quite the tools that only run in older Windows.

For now, I am only doing Jim Jackson, if I can get it working, I may do others too, I wanna do this as I am tired of looking at his Sixers Media Day 1997 portrait and wanna change things up a bit, here's what I am trying to import to overwrite it (Ik it's from years after the release of the game but wanna change it to this bc of his angry expression in this plus this would actually be interesting)

Cool, I'll see what I can do and write up the steps if I can suggest a better way.
