I freaking forgot about Toni Storm being from NZ haha. Also, I forgot the we have Jay White repping NZ but again, AEW has lost my interest. It was a great alternative but just can't keep up with their inconsistent storylines (like the double turn between MJF and Adam Cole feud and many more..).

They do seem to have lost momentum. I've always been a WWE fan, and I've really gotten into the indie scene here in Australia too, but it's important to have that second big company in the US as an alternative for fans and another place for wrestlers to work. Plenty of money behind them, we'll see if they can catch fire creatively again.

Jey Uso won the Rumble. I mean he is over but I am not quite feeling him as the number one guy/ main eventer yet. I was expecting more surprise entrant but I guess all we get is Joe Hendry and IShowSpeed.

Been liking Drew McIntyre's work being a menace and blurring the lines of kayfabe and real life. Great way to keep you relevant without a title tbh.

It's definitely a risky choice, but I'm all for dark horse contenders, especially when they're as over as Jey is. There's also the potential for Roman to become jealous of him and add a new twist to the Bloodline angle. I still feel like they didn't give Roman enough of a redemption arc, but it's still kind of there in the background, so Jey being champ and Roman not being totally supportive of it might be the way to address the elephant in the room.

Fair point! I kinda forgot Roman is still around and really still in the background in terms of story. This will definitely open up many different avenues for the Bloodline story.

I am really liking Jacob Fatu though. Very athletic despite his size although he was leaner when he debuted. Kept quiet for the longest time and just mainly kept saying his catchphrase "I LOVE YOU SOLO!!" But imo he can really talk especially the last few months and can be a potential future champion.

Agreed! I have my gripes with certain aspects of the Bloodline storyline as it's had its lulls (at least in my view), but it has been pretty compelling overall, and opened up opportunities for others to shine.

Well well well, who would have thought about Cena turning heel? After 20 years, they finally did it.

I assume it will be more a corporate Cena character rather than Doctor of Thuganomics as he would be too likeable as a heel.

Bash at the Beach '96 for the 21st century, that's for sure! I have a feeling it's going to make this final run really special.

For sure Andrew!

I just saw the promo by Cena and obviously people were expecting a new attire and new music but no, he kept it all and why would he do that if that is what the people want? Great heel move I reckon. The reference about the invisible joke for 20 years haha. Gonna be interesting to see how the next few weeks going to unfold.

Agreed, it plays perfectly into the whole "why would I do anything for you when you don't appreciate me?" angle, a good use of meta.
