1999-2000 Atlanta Hawks rosters on ESPN NBA 2K5

Remember when I made the 1999-2000 Hawks roster on NBA Live 06? Well I decided to do it with my favorite NBA 2K game, ESPN NBA 2K5!

Did this last night bc I was wanting to have a little fun.

Accurate jersey numbers as well!

Used one of the original XBOX DLC rosters as it already had NBA analyst Jimmy Jackson wearing #22 on the Hornets, the number he wore on the Hawks (Yes, he WAS gonna play for the Hornets after getting traded from the Rockets but never did, I will make a post about the original XBOX 2K5 DLC in the future)

Funny thing is: Most of the players that played for the Hawks during the 1999-2000 season are already included in the game, either on other teams, or free agents (Chris Crawford was already on the Hawks) though I did have to use the custom player trick to change some of the numbers, I have a tutorial for that too!

Some of the players are creations.

Lineups and ratings may not be 100% accurate.

Did accessory changes on the players already in the game as well. (It was not possible to add goggles to Alan Henderson sadly as the game doesn't let you)

RIP Dikembe Mutombo and Lorenzen Wright.

As mentioned above, this is the original XBOX version. (I do not have a capture device and didn't wanna use an emulator so I simply recorded it with my phone)

Cool to see! Those 2000 Hawks definitely seem to speak to you, and it's an interesting bunch for sure. I think we've all had teams like that over the years; even though I'm a Bulls fan, the 2006 76ers are kind of like that for me. So much fun in games!

Updated the depth charts, lineups are based on 1999-2000 season opening day (November 2, 1999), with the addition of Drew Barry in case I wanna do a matchup with late-season lineups whenever Drew Barry played.

Considering putting this up for download as it's a custom team file you can load. It surprises me that Jim Jackson's NBA Media Day 2000 photo appears in this game as his portrait when it was no longer needed at the time the game was new but surprisingly it matches this team!

Thanks! Being a Hawks fan myself, this is one of my favorite Hawks rosters of all time, the blame for me liking it so much: NBA Courtside 2, NBA Live 2000 and NBA In The Zone 2000

Video games definitely cement our enthusiasm for teams. Even though I'm a Bulls fan, NBA Live 95 SNES made me partial to the 1994 Golden State Warriors on the virtual hardwood, for example.
