Any chances of mod compatibility?

Postby Slata on Wed Sep 04, 2024 10:48 pm

Hi guys, for mooding specialists, do you know if there is a chance that our old mods (especially cyberfaces, clothing and shoes) from 2K24 can work on 2K25?

Unfortunately they're not compatible at all. Only face files work and i heard they changed the whole format of players models so it's not what we're all used to. On another thread here jersey mods do seem to work and idk if they figured out shoe mods yet

Is it just the face.iff file or both face and png.iff files that are compatible?

Just the face files, & for the png, i think it's a whole different format entirely. but i have hope we'll get mods as soon as the end of the month

I bought this year `s 2K after 2k22.
As there were answers that the older version of 2k`s cyberfaces is not compatible with 2k25. Any chance that there will be some mods or programs for us to download to make those older cyberfaces compatible with 2k25?

There is a delete option on the 2nd post and give it a chance for tools, the game has been out 3 days!

How can we use 2K24 face files/textures? I tried copying multiple ones in the mods\char\sig and there are no changes happening

In NBA 2K25, there are no facexxxx.iff files; instead, they are PNG files with specific configurations for each player, so anything you add as is won't work.

I knew they were going to change it up as soon as it was announced it was going to the New Gen format. I'm sure some of the mods here will figure it out.

Thanks for the heads up, I already assumed that and also tried renaming the face file to png values of already rlsd 2K25 CFs but nothing works. I was just wondering because I heard that 2K24 face files are still compatible with 2K25. I guess it isn't possible via just renaming the file and it has to be converted? Do you already know the process how to make them work or is there a tutorial for it somewhere?
