Is there any chance that the hook or other mods are causing my 2k to crash more frequently since the season 4 update? Even though it's not being used during the online park/rec games since it's a different exe

This has nothing to do with Hook. Only when you use the 1.2 version of the exe, Hook will be injected. If you use the Season 4 exe, Hook won't run at all (the NBA2K_Hook.dll will not be injected into the game process). And you can see a lot of threads about crashing in the Steam NBA 2K24 community after the recent update, they didn't use mods/Hook.

Guys, I downloaded the hook a few different times for dif computers i own. One of them came with some sort of camera mod where you can move the camera to like, negative 5 or past 10 for height, like 16.

Does anyone know where i can get this mod? I only have it on one computer and i don’t know where i got it.

Also, is there any way to save the modded camera? Mine seems to revert back to Default 2K cam every time i change it.

In the NBA2324/NBA2K_hook/scripts there is a file named FreeCamera.lua. Copy from one PC to the other. Otherwise Shuajota and 2KSpecialist have the file on their sites. NBA2k23 file works in NBA2K24.

After the recent update on steam, i put the 1.2 exe and all the files provided in the rar by shuajota and before the latest official update i did not have any crash in nba2k24 and now i had crash after 5-10 mins. Can you help me resolve this problem? I would like to play but it crashes randomly in my league and in "play now" modes.

I'm having several crashes every five to ten minutes with the hook, is there any solution?

It reverts to the prior exe after the update. When I put the 1.2 exe in the game before the update, the Hook doesn't work. These updates screw everything up.

Why does the game have to be updated so often? I saved a .exe file that was dated 12-3-2023. For the last two updates, I was able to use it, and the game was fine. This last update won't accept it and I'm getting Steam initiation failed errors.

Outside of major fixes, the game is also updated for every new Season in MyCAREER and MyTEAM, of which there are 8 or 9 per year/game now. As such, we can usually expect at least 12 updates during a game's cycle these days, not including hotfixes and the in-game updates (the ones that prompt you to return to the main menu to apply them, and usually include the latest roster).

It says console mode. I play on PC, does it matter?

We can only mod on pc. You have to enter console mode on steam like it says

But I thought the previews were auto generated which is why you can see them when hook isn't running. Isn't there a way to enable or reenable this when hook is running? That would solve it for all shoes rather than having to make individual previews for each shoe

Yeah, I don't know why the hook does this. Without the hook it will auto create a preview shoe and it would be nice if this could be fixed?
