[help] no online content/server connection in the game

Hi,

I bought the game via instantgaming.com and the download and registration in steam were perfectly fine.

But in the game itself no online content is available, e.g.
- the news box at the start of the game is empty
- nba 2k tv is not available
- trying to play online, installing updates is just sitting at 0%

The windows firewall is not the problem, it's set to allow connections for the game. But I had also tried to disable it completely, to no effect.

The SSD with Steam on it has 130gb free, internet connection is fast and stable, etc.

Is there any reason why it shouldn't be working or what I can check?

Sometimes it can take a while for all the updates to come through. You can also try verifying your account by logging in to nba2k.com with your Steam credentials; sometimes that's an issue when it comes to connecting to 2K's servers.
