[Tutorial] Double Teams Frequency Slider (Home & Away)

By default most of the NBA 2K uses double teams with really low frequency; using CE we can have the CPU use it more:






I found the way to change it using Cheat Engine, for home & away teams, below the mini tutorial:

Open NBA 2k20-2k23
Open Cheat Engine and attach in to NBA 2K
Start the game and go into coach sliders



look for new scan value "50":



increment the Help Defense to "51" and perform a next scan to the same value:



...you will get just one memory address:



...this is what we're looking for so look for memory around this memory map:



I usually put:
Home & Away Help: 160
Home & Away Double Teams: 190

.....this will also make CPU use more "TRAP" defense call....both half court and full court.....but just experiment with other values.
I usually keep lower values for exhibition and higher values for playoff games....

Some FAQ / answer to some mail I got and some DM:

- Those values are for play now / just one game: they reset every game
- I will eventually release a CT table for you all
- Every Team has those values in roster / coach settings...but we don't have them visible...maybe Looyh can eventually add them to roster editor
- All of the above is experimental: just play with some values / fit based on how you play the game
- It works from 2k20-2k23 for sure...maybe also 2k17-2k23

More hidden? Maybe...the "browse memory" has some other values.....we can try

Yeah and It's kind of sad they avoid to talk about game issue, that could be solved with some sliders.

What I like is that with lower value I play exhibition....while I turn to high value for playoffs....It add some deep...

mau, how you got the cheat engine to work since that anti-cheat update? it just crashes when i open cheat engine if i'm not using an extension prior to the anti-cheat update.

Is there any news about this extraordinary discovery?
A CT table would be super since I couldn't make it work for 2k22 and 2k23...

Preliminary table is attached to this post; as usual you have to find the initial pointer if the .exe is different than mine.
