NBA Stadium / Shared Folder - No Crowd? (Help!)

So I tried using older 2K stadiums on 2K23, so far 2K22, 21, 20 works but 2K19 stadiums has no crowd at all (like the covid era). Anyway to fix this?

...so no workaround this? please confirm (anybody...please).

BUMP, still hoping for answers. I'm thinking it's something to do with the shared folder.

I imagine there is little help as most people will be using 2k23 arenas instead of trying to import older versions?

You can easily add crowds by simply transferring crowd.CrowdData and crowd.SCNE (+ binaries, which you can use looyh's SCNE Extractor to isolate) from another more recent stadium into the old one. Just use a crowd from a stadium that has the same layout. Hardly anyone ever changes the layout of stadiums in any substantial way. If that's peacemannot's Boston Garden, I've done this and it works great. I've done it with a number of peacemannot's 2k19 stadiums.

EDIT: I guess that's not his Boston Garden, which I've screenshotted in 2k23 below, but in any case, the same principle should work.

I believe it is peacmannot's stadium I'm using from 2K19. Good to know there's a possibility it works. I will attempt to try your tips and see.

How do you convert 2k19 stadiums to 2k23? When I do it, all I have is a grey background & blacked out players. I am new to this so any help will be greatly appreciated.

Crazy thing is, I got that to work but the issue that the other guy was having with the crowd missing is now prevalent to my situation. I tried swapping the crowd.CrowdData and crowd.SCNE but it just reverted the arena back to a grey background. I know I am doing something most in this community would call stupid. I am just unable to get the crowd to display smh. Any help would be appreciated......again lol

I guess the second question was really redundant lol. I really do need sort of a step by step process to getting the crowd to display in these imported arenas. Any suggestions? Anyone?

Do we know if this issue was ever fixed? I was also using the retro Chicago Bulls arena from 2K19, and I ran into the same problem. I transferred the crowd.CrowdData and crowd.SCNE .iff files and the arena was greyed out. I am using TGSoGood's Shared folder as well.

Make sure you press on initialize when you launch the game with the latest hook.
