2023 Season Roster released

Update Breakdown:
2023 Post Trade Deadline Roster (rosters are accurate as of 2/18)
-Also included is the 2005 roster file with a fix for the Orlando Magic court

Roster is updated for the 2022-23 season with trade deadline moves and buyouts accurate as of 2/18
-2022 draft class rookies included (Banchero, Jabari Smith, Holmgren, etc.)
-Many updated city, HWC, and secondary jerseys updated
-Contracts are NOT accurate. Roster is ready for PlayNow and Season mode
-nearly 100 new cyberfaces including new rookie faces and likeness updates
-35 new team jerseys for the 2023 season (may add more in a future update)

I really don't know a ton about modding either of those. I can look around for threads on here about them

In the 1999-2000 roster, the Celtics have their Classic Court (I think 1985-86).

Are you missing a Fleet Center Court? Maybe I can create the court.

What would you have to do to have all the logos like they are for the newly added teams? It would be cool if all logos had the same style. Currently the logos already included in 2k20 have this 3D style.

The same goes for the team selection. Here it would be cool if you could remove the still existing murals and just have the team logo. I think it would be easier than making new murals for all the teams.

These are just suggestions, so don't misunderstand. If I can be of any help, let me know. I would try to create the Fleet Center Court. Let me know if you miss it.

I can take a look at the Celtics court, I'm not sure if I specifically have one for that season. I'm a one man band when it comes to editing these rosters, so some of those details can slip through the cracks. I appreciate the feedback, it helps me improve.

Most of the logos should be in the 2D style, although sometimes in pre-game menus it displays the 2020 3D versions. Let me know if I'm missing something there though

edit: it turns out I had one from an old Pete Toal roster. I unfortunately don't know who created it to credit them, but I can have this included in a future update

I'm having an issue with my game. While I'm able to open different roster files and such using your mod packs, none of my cyberfaces or any mods in the waigua and I have installed the SYNC.bin in the right place as well, because I am running on offline mode.

Please let me know if there's anything I'm doing wrong.

I'd like to check out the 1996 roster, but cannot get it to work. I don't know why...1997 works, but not 1996...

I launch NBA 2K20 -> "create roster"...then I create a new random roster, save it e.g. "New1996".

Then I go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\42022122\1089350\remote, delete the file just created (e.g. roster0005), then rename your file "Roster1996" "roster0005". However, it is corrupted, both in PlayNow and MyLeague.

I don't know why 1997 works. What else should I do?

When you're swapping the roster files, make sure it is with the game closed. I would also name it roster0005 and then replace the current file rather than delete it

Still does not work. I downloaded "Ultimate Retro Pack 7 of 9". It has rosters from 1993 to 2019.

I click "Create new roster", select the first entry (normal roster, not user created), press B to go back, save the roster, e.g. "NBA 9596"...then close the game...go to the folder, rename the newly created file, e.g. "Roster0002" "xRoster0002"...then copy your roster 1996Roster and name it "Roster0002.

I only get corrupted file errors.

Coaches are updated if you are talking about the 2023 roster. Except for the Nate McMillan firing as he was let go after this update was released

I would recommend you download all of the mod packs as I've made a lot of nice updates since mod pack 7. The quality of the rosters have gotten much better. You're free to use whatever roster files you want, but those are going to be pretty outdated in quality. There are newer versions of the roster files in later mod packs


Don't rename any of the files in the remote folder, just overwrite it. For example:

1. Save a roster in your game (for example roster0002)
2. close the game
3. Rename the roster file from my mod pack to whatever that file name is (change 1996 season to roster0002). Do this either in the mod pack folder or drag it to your desktop and change the name. DON'T touch the files in your remote folder during this
4. Drag this file into the remote folder. It will say the "destination already has a file with this name" or something. Select the option to replace it. Don't mess with the files or file names within the remote folder, only replace them with files of an identical name

Make sure you download the Hook tool in step 16 on page 1 of this thread. Also make sure to swap out the config file from the one from the mod pack
