DANet - HI-RES MEGA SHOE UPDATE RELEASED!

This patch upgrades EA's default shoes to a hi-res 128x128 (2x) and 256x256 (4x) shoe format using EA's own hi-res shoe textures from NBA Live 2005 (and NBA Live 2004). Experience your game as I'm sure EA intended it to be seen before they were forced to squeeze a DVD sized game (i.e. Xbox and PS2) onto 2 CD's...

Notes:

A. This patch installs hi-res 128x128 (2x) and 256x256 (4x) shoe textures into NBA Live 2005. All default shoes included with NBA Live 2005 are upgraded and 100 additional shoes (from NBA Live 2004) are installed. This patch updates all the default DBF files to allow you to assign any shoe (all shoes are unlocked) to any player via the create/edit player menu.

B. To assign the 100 additional shoes to players in your saved rosters/seasons/dynasties (via the create/edit player menu) you will have to manually copy the...

My Documents\NBA LIVE 2005\database\originaldb\shoesacc.dbf

into each of your...

My Documents\NBA LIVE 2005\saves\XXXXXXXX\

directories. There is no roster specific information stored in the shoesacc.dbf so you do not need to worry about losing any data from your saved files by overwriting your shoesacc.dbf files with the shoesacc.dbf from this patch.

C. The texture mapping of all shoes meet the NBA Live 2005 requirements.

Installation procedure for the hi-res shoe update:

1. Download and run the DANet-Shoe_update_2005_v10.exe file.
2. Manually update the shoesacc.dbf files in all your saved rosters/seasons/dynasties.
3. Run NBA Live 2005 and enjoy...

Yes, all shoes conform to the NBA Live 2005 mapping. As a matter of fact, the shoe shown in my preview above is a texture taken from NBA Live 2004...and as you can see the mapping is correct.
