Buying used NBA 2K23 for Xbox Series X

I'm about to get it cheap from an online store but I'd like to know if XSX can play used game especially NBA 2K games.

If it's a pre-owned physical disc version why not. Just be very careful to get the correct version as Xbox Series can run both last gen and current gen version of the game.
