I usually play 2k myleague in retro mode so thought I'd share this.
Relive the 1983 NBA season or recreate NBA history to your desire..
Features:
- Full 1982-83 roster as of the beginning of the season No Fillers either budget FA's or low rated fictional players
- No Generics or 2k shoes. Most shoes should fit the time period and I've used a lot lookalike players where no cyberface is available
- Retro team names and logos for the 1983 season
- Coaches, Assistants and GM's 80% accurate
- Career stats added for majority of players
- Tendencies and attributes reflect time period and player style (i.e. No stretch fours)
- Fictional teams used for the expansion teams with low-average rated players*
- Updated player signature moves and attributes (Bird and Magic are entering their prime etc.)
Updates:
- Fixed bug where 1983 rookies would have 1 year added to their years played in myleague mode
- Known issue when starting a new myleague some players will have an additional year added to their years pro. This a historic player issue bug which 2K have had for years (In case it bugs you a myleague file has been uploaded with those years edited as it can only be done once the season has started)
- Updated some more player signatures

(Just copy and paste the contents of the .txt file into 2K tools to overwrite an existing player in your free agent pool)
Requests/Future plans:
- Things I would like to add eras scoreboards, better looking courts and presentation overlays for the 80s, 90s 00s. So any modders who would like share or create some of these assets I would be most grateful as it adds to the overall aesthetic
- Some of the retro cyberfaces for PC are thugly (Adrian Dantley, Larry Bird etc) so if you have any special creations just give me a shout all credits will be given
- *I use fictional players instead of roster fillers as during myleague those teams get beat up and you end up with four teams getting 75 wins in a season. So this way the expansion teams should always be mid until they actually exist. But of course play it how you want.
- At this time there shouldn't be any mods required to get this to work but as more cyberfaces become available I will update so any modders out there who would like to get involved or share their creations just let me know
