Custom Art

Tue Nov 02, 2004 2:02 am

Andrew, i see that you posted that custom art is already enabled. But--How do we use it this year?

thanks

If it's already enabled, aren't you using it already?

Hmmm..well custom art was done by creating a folder with the same name of the viv you want the art to show up. This year it doesn't work like that (or does it).

What I'm using now, is just putting the files in the viv files using the import feature in ea graph.

I just want to know "how"? Or better yet, how do we incorporate the custom art feature b/c it doesn't seem like it's the same as the previous 2 years.

I don't think we have to use individual folders this year, I believe we can just place the updated files in a single folder. That's either the render folder or possibly even the main game folder.

By the way, this is more of an NBA Live 2005 Patching Issue rather than an issue with the site itself, so I'm moving it from NLSC Issues. ;)

I don't think we can find out more about the new customart unless Andrew gets his copy.

I haven't seen a way to give players custom shoes and gear (jerseys) yet.

Putting face .fsh (e/a kobryan) file into 'sgsm' folder also is working. Now i'm going to bed..

Wed Nov 03, 2004 7:51 am

That still doesnt explain it. How do you do shoes for a certain player?

Wed Nov 03, 2004 8:33 am

Someone try putting "kobryan" in the sgsm folder alone and put a shoe file there (bsho).

I know, that you don't need to import shoes, faces files into .viv file. Just put it into 'sgsm' folder and it's done.

Do you have to make a folder like "kobryan" or can you just put kobryan.fsh (cyberface) in the sgsm folder itself?

I tried to create kobryan folder and put the file there, but no success...

Fri Nov 05, 2004 5:35 am

just put the kobryan.fsh file in the sgsm folder...it works, i tried it with iversons face patch over kobe (just to see a difference)...the headshape is an issue that will have to be addressed at some stage...but this is a start for sure...not having to change the .viv files for faces. :)

nice one kasro!

I still can't get my shoes to show in the edit mode screen? Do I have to put the fsh anywhere else besides the sgsm fsh.
