dunk contest and dunk freestyle challenge

how in the world can u win? i mean seriosuly i cant even do one dunk off a toss. i think its rigged. I CANT DO JACK!!! how do i get better? dont tell me to do the tutorial cause ive done it like a billion times but when i throw the ball off the big boards in the challlenge i can never catch anything. anyone else have this problem? this has been the first time since 96 where i cant figure something out.

With the harder dunks, you do need to practice a bit until you can do them fairly easily (that includes any dunks off the lob). The best approach is to perform all of the simple dunks (all of the tricks from all of the gathers, without any modifiers) and throw in the more spectacular dunks every so often. That way, you can build up a nice cushion if you miss a couple of attempts.

well.. after so much time for practicing.. i can now do alley oop dunks... the hardest would be the flip for me... but basically.. id do alleyoop on top of the key.. so that it would be easier for me to catch and not worry about the position of the ball.

but for what the cpu is doing.. some are not that realistic. do u think?

I've pretty much mastered the dunk competition after me and my brothers sat down Saturday and played for like 6 straight hours and collaborated on different combinations. The hardest and most difficult dunk for me is the 720. I've only managed to pull it off 4 times and landed it once. Most of the time I cant even time the dunk after the gather correctly. I can do most of the others without incident and have had times where I have gotton a perfect score throughout the entire competition.

I finally won my first dunk comp!! I'm starting to get better at the ally oops, it's just the timing and where you toss the ball. What I do is push up on the right stick from the 3 point line, then immediately gather after and I usually catch it.

I'm having problems tossing the ball in the Slam-Dunk competition. How do you guys do it w/ a PC keyboard?
