Re-signing players

Mon Nov 01, 2004 12:06 pm

Have you guys had any luck in re-signing your players in dynasty mode? I really don't know what's wrong... But I just can't get players to re-sign to my team, even if I adjust their salaries to higher amounts... :(

Yea even after I win a championship, like I simulated a season to see all the new features of dynasty mode and I couldnt re-sign my good players :?

In the Dynasties that I've simmed, I generally haven't had any trouble if the future looks promising and I'm willing to give at least the desired number of years and dollars. In my experience so far, it doesn't seem to be random as in previous years, and having an opportunity to make a few offers certainly helps.

I've never had a problem, even with the guys on my IR.

Well, i think it depends on which team you are using. Maybe your team sucks and the player wants to go to a better team.

If they made it harder to resign players, then that's a very good sign of a fun year to come.

Just imagine ... it'd be harder to make the playoffs and win a championship.

You'd have to work like a "really good" GM to get your team out of the swamp.

I just finished one season with the Kings and I resigned Bobby Jackson. I just gave him what he asked for (2 years about 6.5M each year). I think maybe the age and how many minutes he played in the previous season also a factor. Some young gun don't want to sit on your bench all the time.
