New to 2k, could use some help

First post, so wanted to start off by saying hello. Also I tried searching and nothing I could come up with was helpful, so I figured I'd make a post.

I installed 2k21 on my PC, I copied the hook files 0.0.7 to the nba2k21 folder in steam. The first mod I was trying to do was make the xbox buttons disappear as I'm using a PS controller, no go as I still see the xbox controllers. Then I also want to add players that the game is missing like Chris Andersen, Reggie Miller, Charles Barkley to name a few. I downloaded the cyberface and such but they're all .iff files. I followed the instructions and copied them to the Mod folder, however I don't see them anywhere on the Roster.

I was able to use the NBA2k21 Tools(Roster Editor) though.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

With the Cyberface IFF files you have to make sure that they are assigned to the correct player. In the NBA2K21 Tools, you can see that each player has a Face ID number. That has to correspond to the IFF file.

I have all those files already in my folder, that's the problem but the mods are still not working. That's what I don't get.

I've copied all the .dll's, I've put stuff on the mods folder and none of them are showing up in the roster when I moved all the .iff files

Same thing happened to me. You just need to download winrar. then whenever you download the mods you bring it up in winrar and it will format it for you. then just drag and drop into mods folder

Can you show us a screen of you folder structure? Do you have the rar files or the .iff in your mods subfolder? Are you putting them in the folder with the nba2k21.exe or the save game folder? It should be the former
