CLASSIC SEASONS MOD 86-97 ** 1986 REVAMP DONE **

Hey Everyone!

So 2k has said their servers will be going offline 12/31/20. I was hoping they'd go until mid/end January 2021. I guess it isn't fair to expect a company that plagues us with 10s of millions of dollars in micro transactions to keep a server up and running for more than two years....even though every other company does it for their games. Okay, rant over.

That being said....we should get out the 88-89 season before the 12/31/20 deadline. Probably around the 29th/30th is my guess....

We are hustling, but I THINK we will also get out the the 93-94 roster as well. No promises. So far since last release, I think there are 65 new CFs that will be added too.

Wondering if Christian Laettner will have his headband or at least have the option to add it? He does not have the option for headband with the 93 roster. Is there a way to add that option to a player?

Took a break from this mod and from 2k, now im back and theres an early Christmas present

The update is great, thanks a lot guys, great job.

I have a few questions though:

1) Which season roster is the most polished? Cyberfaces, tendencies and etc. wise?

2) What sliders fit best with these retro rosters? Ive been using Stildo33's, but maybe someone has some better suggestions?

3) What does the server shutdown mean for this mod? Will you keep updating it, just with extra installation steps, like, for example, 2k14? I read that the deadline is January 18th, tho in the video ronnie said 31st of december. Then again, he barely remembered which game he was talking...

4) Just curious, but what are your most favorite teams/players/moments from this mod?

1) Man....probably still the 1992. However, there has been a LOT of gameplay improvements made and will be released before end of the year (things like the euro-step removed for 98% of players since nobody did it in this era). I know those will be implemented on the 1993 and 1994 and the 88-89 (those changes all need to carry forward and backwards so we've done those first). I am hoping to get those out on the 90,91,92 before the server shut down, BUT if not, then they will come afterwards (see point 3)

2) To the best of my knowledge these are still the best ones and what people are using.....ALWAYS OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS ON TWEAKS HERE.

3) MOD will live on. For sure. LOTS planned. 84-2020 isn't going to happen overnight though.

It will mean an extra installation step, but shouldn't take more than a few extra minutes (watch this froim dee4three's mod, we will need to do the same thing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elRbzz3XXug&t=209s)

Try and download what you can around the 29/30/31st with servers online whenever we release next update. I am hoping to add a lot to the draft classes too.

4) Well some haven't been released yet, but: 91 Blazers, 93 Suns, 92 Celtics, Bulls Teams, 89 Lakers (Kareem baby), 93 Hornets, 94 Rockets, 94 Magic, 94 Warriors (if Tim Hardaway wasn't injured with Webber....video game fun baby!), Spurs teams are all fun, Same with Sonics,

simple and definitive answer : NO
it takes a ton of work and (free) time to create a mod like that, because we try to be accurate and in the detail.
I dont think anyone would move to 2K21 and BTW we cant just move to another game like that. Most of the work isnt compatible, it would require a lot of work/time (again) to convert the content and rosters cant be converted and would need to be recreated from scratch.

Great update and fantastic mod! Thanks to everybody involved for all their hard work.

One question: Is there a simple way for me to add the cheerleaders back in?

Briggm - I have no idea. Someone else did that edit. I will explore in January and see.

I HAVE TO OVERWRITE THE CURRENTLY UPLOADED 1990, 1991, 1992, AND 1993 MYLEAGUE SEASONS THAT ARE ONLINE IN ORDER TO PREPARE FOR THE RELEASE OF THE 1989 AND 1994. THEY WILL STILL BE AVAILABLE ONLINE, BUT YOU WILL NEED TO INSTALL THIS MOD PACK FOR FACES TO WORK IF YOU ARE DOWNLOADING FOR THE FIRST TIME. I WILL UPDATE THE FRONT SECTION NEXT WEEK AND YOU WILL NEED TO REDOWNLOAD EVERYTHING AT THAT TIME BECAUSE THERE WILL BE A FEW MORE CF ADDED THEN, ALONG WITH JERSEY/COURT UDPATES, ETC.

I also forgot to mention the revamped gameplay on the 1990 and 1993 Rosters (the 1991 and 1992 will be updated as well, but those will be a few weeks out). Lady Culture has done a tremendous amount of work in this area with tendencies/gameplay. Check'em out! Good Luck stopping the elite superstars. You will find they are much more of a handful to deal with. Shaq is a beast. I had a horrible time trying to slow down Magic with the Bulls. SUPER FUN!

Great work on the new rosters. I agree Shaq is a handful in the 93 myleague roster. One thing I noticed and wanted to see if it could be corrected. Kevin Johnson's Run N Slam shoes in the new 1993 roster seem to be a different than on previous rosters. He is using the 1994 Run N Slam instead of the correct 1993 version he was using in the previous 1993 roster. It looks to be that the 1993 Run N Slam shoe has been replaced as I could not assign it to him with the new 1993 roster. Wondering if there is a way to get the proper shoe model available again?

Yep that’s normal. I totally reworked these shoes because they were ugly as hell. Quality pictures of the 93 version is nearly impossible to find and you have different sources telling a lot of different things about the Run’Slam. So I went for what seems to be a good deal between 93 and 94. But if you looks at the PEs with this shoe, you will have what you need

I was having one issue personally with the 1994 roster on my desktop PC (the crossover shoes that many players wore don't show up). They do on my laptop though and it works fine. Curious of anyone else has blank player feet or not with those shoes (Dee Brown on the Celtics wears them). You can change these manually to something else if you are having an issue, but I'm sure it's just me haha). At this time, we aren't sure why they aren't showing up correctly for me.

Just downloaded the updated rosters and looks like Kevin Johnson is not editable in at least 92 and 93. It freezes the game if you try and edit him. Have not checked the other rosters yet. Also when you go into a game he is there but an invisible player. Weird.

No issues with the Reebok Crossover. Also, Kevin Johnson works for all seasons on my PC as well.
