Is there a way to turn off the shotstick aiming?

This thing has been annoying me for years and I guess there's no way to do it
But what if anyone know how, it would be great

Not as far as I'm aware. The only way to avoid it would be to use the Shoot button for all jumpshots and free throws.

I have found that I get good aim by moving the shotstick directly to the left.

Thanks for the tip bro
However I’ve already known about this when the game first released
Moving the joystick straightly down, up, left or right, all four directions, it’ll be a good shot(I believe it’s said in the tutorial of the game)

Anyways, it still means we need orientation for shots, it just can’t be turned off completely

could it be this one?... Controller Settings -> Pro Stick -> set it to "Dribble Moves" only.

That would disable right stick shooting completely, whereas Simonn-Lee was looking for a way to disable the aiming mechanic while still using the right stick to shoot. Unfortunately there's no option for that, as there is in NBA 2K21 with its approach to stick aiming where you can choose timing only if you prefer.
