Association crash - NBA 2K14 PC

Hello,
Sorry if this goes against the forum rules, I figured it would be better to make a new topic rather than post in the very old "bugs/glitches" thread. One of my favorite things to do in 2k, and especially with modded 2k14 is play long-term Association saves. However, whenever I do this with alternate rosters, the game crashes to desktop after a few seasons (usually at least 3, but sometimes sooner) while simulating games. Does anyone else know of this issue and/or any way to fix it? The game runs perfectly otherwise.
Btw, I'm using the UBR mod, the last free version released.

From memory, there are some random issues with Association games crashing after a while; I can't remember if it's something that happens with official rosters as well as custom ones, but that might be the case. Unfortunately, the PC version of NBA 2K14 didn't receive any of the official patches that the consoles did, meaning we were stuck with any and all bugs.
