How does fatigue work in intervene mode?

Postby deluxxe on Thu Oct 07, 2004 11:51 am

One of my favorite features of Live 2005 is the ability to jump in between quarters of a simmed game. Perfect for those days when i only have a few minutes to play a game.
anyways, i usually intervene in the 4th quarter and i notice it's always the starting 5 for both teams playing. I'm assuming that fatigue only starts from the beginning of the quarter you intervened in?

Yes, but other guys on your bench previously got minutes.

whats the advantage of having an intervene mode. i noticed that in the fourth quarter the guys that i used in the third are not tired anymore.

The advantage is so that us, the users, can sim a game and have at least some impact over the result when we wouldnt normally have the time to play a full game. Its best use would be suited for players who like to play longer quarters.
And also I dont think we should have gripes about the ability to do this when we exert all our frustrations on EA to give us more interesting features each year.

I can see where jaywill is coming from, though. You can play the whole fourth quarter with your starters if they have good enough endurance since no one is tired..

i didnt mean for my post to come across like i was bagging jaywill...i wasn't...it's just that we cant expect EA to have everything perfect when they implement something new like this...i mean if you want it kinda realistic, just dont start the fourth quarter with your starting five.
no offense jaywill...

p.s. i dont even have the game, its just from all accounts i appreciate what EA has done for us this year.

I know this doesn't completely address the issue...but it does offer an option...

If you use simulation intervention and jump into the game at half-time then the fatigue levels are fine...since the fatigue levels are always reset at half-time when you are playing a full game anyway. In other words, whether you play a game from the start...or jump into the game at half-time...the fatigue levels will be full and the starters will be on the floor to start the second half.

That's what I do sometimes but when I do use that option, I wait til 3rd quarter which is not always smart because I might be down to much to get back in the game but ooooo well.
