Online Head to Head (Andrew vs Dee4Three)

An interesting game of NBA 2K21 using two different playstyles. Andrew is using the shot meter, I am not.

Andrew started out dominating me with Jordan, so I had to adjust and start helping off Rodman and Rose. Andrew had a bunch of nice shots in the first quarter. I had to adjust my offensive attack, and attack the post with McHale, Garnett, and Bird. Once I started getting doubled, it got shooters open, and I was able to knockdown shots.

Surprisingly, we both shot decently well. This was my first full game on 2K21, and I believe it was Andrews as well (Outside of the demo, I played multiple games with the demo)

The lag wasn't bad at all, the game was reactive. However, was it fun? Not really, the player movement in this game is really troubling, and once again worse than the demo. The catching of passes is animation heavy and super delayed, the players move awkwardly about the floor, speed/acceleration breaking constantly, first steps felt like a sluggish mess, and being sucked into defenders was happening as bad as 2K21. So once again... the demo played much better (This happened with Live 19 as well)

Again though, he was using the meter, and I wasn't, and I think that both of us shot pretty well overall.

Overall, it was cool jumping on with Andrew. And I am up for it again!

I had played a couple of games beforehand, but it was only my second 5v5 in the full version of NBA 2K21. Dee definitely got me with the post moves in the second half, and I stopped making my shots. It was fun and competitive, though. Most of my online gaming has been in MyCAREER's connected modes, so it was refreshing to play some old school head-to-head, albeit in the modern fashion of online.

My early impressions of player movement are similar. I found myself stepping out of bounds trying to make moves a couple of times, and that does come down to the animations.

Nice vid... I actually seen a charged drawn which was nice but hopefully it also works with players driving to the basket and not just post ups.

Playing against the CPU on HOF, the CPU seems a lot smarter and they do more drives and kicks. So this is something promising.
