How embarrassing (College Part 2)

Postby Matt on Thu Oct 07, 2004 4:06 pm

so anyways, a few weeks back i had 3 tests in 1 week after 8 weeks of nothing, and 1 presentation to do.

I always attend the Law lecture and even though I don't read the book I managed to earn 60% w/o study.

Finance though was a bitch, I go but instead of paying attention i talk to a friend....every single time. I don;t do the work or read the book. For the test i knew nothing, I mean nothing, and my brilliant score of 3/60 (5%) reflects that  So anyway, I have vowed to study and pick it up with just 5 weeks left before exams. I've started reading the book, i uninstalled ive 04 and i'm not gonna get Live 05 till after exams. I plan on getting about 70% on the exam.
I just don't get it, I can't seem to do this Finance stuff and yet last year i was doing Chemistry and Physics and i was doin good in it. Those 2 are way harder. I guess @uni it springs up on you and your mind is not trained.

anyways, a few weeks ago I also did an assignment which was the biggest load of shit ever and i got 65% :D excellent, cos i was hoping that I'd at least get 40% which is what i needed to pass....of course I have to pass the exam too.

3 of 60 is! :D That's Allen Iverson territory right there!

I've had such a slow semester man, two practical subjects = not much work, and no grades for those subjects, just pass/fail. Only 2 essay all sememster, the rest is small projects, presentations and journals.

Better to work the last few weeks then all sememster Matt!

Your just like me, if I wanted to study I could get 80 average no problem, but I'm too dam lazy.

My average is around 60 right now but I am hoping to bring that up so I can get a car finally..

lmao, that had me rolling right there

anyways matt i'm just like you except i kinda listen to the lectures.. i don't catch up with my reading at all.. the most i've read is 2 chapters in my psychology book while all the other classes i have, i've read nothing at all.

my first psychology test i got 65%, a c+ but i'm probably gonna up my score.. i studied like a bitch last night, for 5 hours and my test is on tuesday.. sad thing is though i did an online test and i managed to get 53%.. ouch.

hahah, don't think AI could do WORSE though. I got 5 weeks to go and I've, for the 1st time this year, done my HW before class and read the required chapter

It's only in Finance that I don't pay attention (hot chicks can be distracting  ) it's so boring to, plus the lecturer is a wanker cos he doesnt allow graphics calculator. he made us buy a financial calc. which is shit as and costs $100 even though the graphics has more functions

5 weeks before my first exam, I think I'll put in some study time before now and then.....before it was just study 3 days before exam (loosely study, more like open book-stare at book blankly-go eat-watch tv- stare some more at book)

5 weeks to go? God damn, I only have next week left! :P But we started like 3 weeks before everyone this year :x No exams this semester for me...
If I didn't have to do placement my 4 month break would be starting in exactly one week! How sweet the summer break is!

I am super genious!!ones!11!1! I got 90% on mah math tests!!ones!11!1!

My worst GPA ever so far is 3.5 (4 A's, 4 B's, I think that's calculated correctly.) In two and a bit years of high school I have studied for approximately 5 final exams, 2 mid-terms, and about 8 others. And I have not studied any of those subjects for more than 20 minutes. I am teh pwn!!!

I was about to question the "5 weeks left" thing, but I keep forgetting you guys are the Aussies... I'm only in my 2nd week, so I have 28 weeks of school left...

I am seriously having the time of my life here... it's pretty awesome here.

I feel like I'm almost graduated. I only have to finish the internship and the graduation subject (a business plan to open a new company), and do like 3 assignments which shouldn't be a big problem. Then I'll see if I'll manage to be approved to work in a multinational company, or start my masters. :)

Wow Matt, Kudos to you for cracking down and not being lazy. Uninstalling Live04? That's a bold move right there. :o I couldn't do that.

RESCETP! *beats chest*

welli get 3 months off later so it don't matter. 4,5 weeks study is worth it. I only sit 3 exams, pretty confident about Law, about average with Economics and poor in Finance (not for long)
