Alright, its Day 1 of the run-up to release. Here's the first prospect on tap. Leandro Bolmaro is super raw but his game is very reminiscent of an early Manu Ginobli, though admittedly that's probably just the easiest comparison due to country of origin.
Just kinda does a little bit of everything and plays hard. Really good at finding cutters while he's airborne. He doesn't have the athleticism of an NBA star but his fundamentals will likely allow him to find a role.
I have him #30 in the class and he is a euro-stash candidate, as of now. Let me know if you disagree, two more prospects up later today.

Yes, once I've counted down the top 30. I know its gimmicky but in all honesty, it buys me extra time to make sure everything is 100% ready to go. Plus if people see something glaringly wrong, I have time to adjust.

#29 is Tre Jones, younger brother of Tyus Jones. He surprised some people when he returned to Duke, but ultimately didn't change his draft stock much. He'll probably hold a similar role to his brother and be a solid 3rd point guard with backup potential. As a second-year player, he really showed an ability to be a floor general. Is he too high? #28 will be out later this evening.

I really like the lower ratings. I think 2k overrates most rookies and young players in general. This is far more realistic in my opinion. I think its cool that you chose to go that route.

Nice work.
Great idea to make these profiles!!!!
Bolmaro is definitely PG by the way

He's 6'8" and listed as a forward everywhere I've seen, including on his official team page. I do have him as a play initiator and PnR Ball handler though, so he will be bringing the ball up and distributing. Do you have a source on the PG position, perhaps I missed something?

Mostly for watching him play with Barcelona and Argentina youth. And also by listening to scouting podcasts.
I would have set him as PG-SG.
But anyway, I can be wrong too. With Heurtel and Pangos injuries this year, he was used as PG and initiator in some Barça lineups.
Maybe Spanish fellows would have a better opinion about that.
Sorry if I made a mistake.
Huge work.

No not at all, man. That's a big part of why I'm doing this. I want the feedback and I thank you for bringing it up. I've done a lot of research but nobody is perfect and if he's a PG then I want it accurate.
I'll look into it a bit more to determine if a position change is accurate or he was just a forward given ball-handling duties. Something tells me an NBA team would not run him at the 1 but that could be my own bias.

Last preview of the day. #28 is Kira Lewis Jr. He's a bit lower than many have him but he's a late bloomer and he is very raw. If it's any consolation I do have his potential as higher than many.
He has advanced dribble moves for a player of his age and is an athlete in open space. Like many in this class, there is a huge variety in his outcomes.

GOAT!

The first prospect up today is #27 Jahmi'us Ramsey. He's an uber-athletic two guard out of Texas Tech, which has become quite the pipeline of as of late (Zhaire Smith, Jarrett Culver). He's very raw but has the ability to showcase amazing highlight plays out of nowhere and had a surprisingly solid jumper develop throughout the year.
I'm actually quite high on teams taking a risk on him late in the first just based on athletic potential, similar to how Clevland picked up Kevin Porter Jr. What are your thoughts on Ramsey? Not worth the risk?

I think OKC might take the risk with the 27th pick. Could also go early 2nd because of the other teams picking late 1st, think they might want more polished guys. Overall i see him developing into a quality 6th man like a JR Smith type player. Amazing work on the model and face btw!

These previews are pretty good. I just learned about Kira Lewis Jr. last month and I am really interested in seeing his development in the league. I don't think he will hit the ground running but he could surprise me.

OKC would be quite interesting as he might replace some of the athleticism they lost with Russ. Though they have a slew of 1s and 2s so he'd be hard-pressed to get minutes behind SGA. I love your JR SMith comparison, I can see him being a solid 6th man.

Thanks man! Yeah, he's a curious prospect and although I'm lower on his overall rating going in, I think he's got some of the best potentials in this draft. I can absolutely see him sitting behind a veteran, developing, and being an all-star down the road.

Up next at #26 is the big out of Maryland, Jalen Smith. I am admittedly higher on him than many, but he just fits the modern game so well. He returned to college last year and further developed his game.
He's a natural rebounder and shot-blocker with some stretch potential. I can see him sticking around the league for a long time similar to a less athletic Serge Ibaka. He kinda just makes the hustle plays outside of scoring. Plus he's got the rec specs so what's not to love!
Maybe I'm just looking at it through rose-colored glasses? Anyone have thoughts on him?

Lovin it blue! This is an awesome way to release it, this year is the first draft class in almost a decade I know almost nothing about so I’m really learning about these guys from this and who my celtics could pick up. Can’t wait to use it! Keep it up

Was Jalen Smith in mock drafts last year? I remember seeing him talked about before.
Anyway just watched more footage of him.

jalen smith and jahmius ramsey are two of the few guys i hope the knicks can get with the clippers pick.

Yeah, he was mocked just outside the lottery last year I believe, perhaps lower. He's definitely an intriguing talent.

Ramsey would be a huge hit with the Knick. His game may potentially be flashy enough to catch attention with the big city lights. Would Jalen Smith not be buried behind the other bigs the Knicks signed or were those one-year deals? I don't think you could go wrong with either though.

Last prospect for the day and it is Aleksej Pokusevski. He is a true 7 footer from Serbia playing with Olympiacos.
Personally, I think he is the perfect encapsulation of the 2020 draft. No one really knows exactly how good he is or could be. He could be anything from a starting center capable of excelling on both ends of the floor, including stretch potential, to end of the bench and out of the league.
Were talking about an outcome that spans Kristaps Porziņģis to Ante Žižić. This is a crazy lottery card. As of now, he's a decent rebounder and shot blocker. It will be interesting to see where he lands and what his career holds.
I don't currently have him as a Euro Stasah, do you all feel he should be? Personally, I like the extra draft and stash players in the draft for those who like longevity in their MyLeagues.
