Did anyone play as Dr. J yet? Cuz his jump rating is 60. Did anyone played to see if he is still a high flyer even though his jump rating is 60?
Also why is T-mac's jump rating lower than Kobe's? They had Kobe dunk and jump rating like he is the best dunker in the league or something...

I dont know, but right now, I think kobe is the best dunker in the league... My opinion only though. Oh, patchers your guys are gonna need to make a new body type for kobe this year. Have you seen this man?! He looks like hes on swool this season... Yoked up.

Dr. J is still a very good dunker in the game because his dunk rating is a 99. He seems to play just fine, in my opinion.
Does anyone know what Dr J's vertical was? Maybe it wasn't really that high. He had long arms and powerful hands, like MJ, so he didn't necessarily have to get up really high to dunk on and around people.

i think his playground legend had some stories about touching the top of the backboard. he was up there with david thompson as a high riser.

Yeah, but that was in the early 70s. Keep in mind he's on the 80s team, not the 70s team. He was still a great dunker, but not the same as in his early playing days on the playground and in the ABA.

The cat was 6'7 jumping from the freethrow line. He was a high jumper, just ask all the cats he dunked on <cough, cough Bill cough Walton>

It was in the high 30s verticle leap. For comparison Richard Jefferson has a 37 in. vert. Doc probably had a 37-39 in. leap.

That dunk on Walton was pretty spectacular. He went coast to coast avoiding the defense, and then when right over Walton for the finish.

No way that Dr. J only had a 39 inch vert. And never ever compare him to the likes of Richard Jefferson. Dr. J could fly. If you watch his old clips he had way more hangtime than Jefferson. Also in many clips and pics, you can see his head was a couple inches above the rim. That means his vert is over 40 inches.

RJ's Vert is 37?
No wonder the dude did crappy dunks in the 2003 Dunk Contest...
He even does the same in Live
!
Realism!

I'm only going by what each player claimed was their vert. No question Doc could fly, and he had more hang time than Jefferson.
