Diffilculty levels.... what are you using?

G'day fellas,

Well I wont be getting the PC game in oz for another month so I was wondering something. Ive been hearing alot about the game being harder... so my question is this.

Are you guys who used to play on superstar level (like me) in 04 and previous games.... now playing at a lower level because its much tougher??

I'm really interested to know. And what do you think has made it tougher.

In started off at Starter then i moved up to allstar. After about 10 games there i moved up to superstar mode and that is what im using right now. Its hard and i dont win evergame but thats good because i dont wanna be winning each game by 25pts.

Cool, thats what i like to hear. When you know you can win everygame in superstar by 20 it gets boring.... so I think i'll get alot out of this years game.

i'm really frustrated with All Star. i had to back off to starter but starter is no fun cuz i kill the other team by like 30+ points.
I still can't win in All Star. I get slaughtered every game. Play tight till the 2nd or 3rd quarter then the cheap AI kicks in and the blow out starts.
It really sucks when you miss wide open jumper after wide open jumper while the cpu is hittin everything. Couple that with me not being able to score at all in the post and, well, i start trying to break my xbox controller in half

Yea....the only team that gave me a tough time was the Grizzles on Starter. They beat me a couple times....becuz I missed open shots like crazy. And I couldn't drive to the hole becuz of Gasol and Wright....they would always block the [***] out of me.

So put the sliders up....where I get open shots in. So I won't feel bored driving to basket all the time.

lol u guys play on starter? well i first started on superstar, but they whooped my ass so i went back to all-star, and i got my game back, that i had on 04, so i went back to superstar and its more like win-lose-win-win-lose-lose..etc

but i like it that way, more of a competition. But one thing i really didnt like is when i played the pistons, i swear they hit AT LEAST 20 shots in a row, it was ridiculous, and they beat me. Sheed, Big Ben and Tayshaun had a damn block party in the paint also, kobe couldnt get a dunk if he was on a ladder

Well.... I guess this would be better than playing on superstar in 04, trying to LET the computer score, and still blowing them out by 30 points.

i try to play on all star, but when i get frustrated i'll switch to starter and just trounce someone to get my confidence back.
all star really gets to me though. I swear my neighbours can hear me yelling through the walls here.

I just play on Superstar

I always play on superstar. Whenever i get the game i always start a Dynasty straight away. This way i get to lose some games whilst learning about the game. It always ends up being the same, i win 55 games a season and win the championship but hopefully Live will be harder

i have not played it yet but i can tell you i will play on all star.

I always start off on starter to get into the groove, then in a day or two, I just go to All-Star. I never tried Superstar mode in 2004 simply because I heard they were incredibly cheap and that frustrates me more than anything. So I kept it at All Star and to make things challenging, I turned up the CPU's sliders and turned down some of mine. I might go for Superstar mode in this year's version if they're not going to go swish 20 extremely contested shots in a row on my defense

the reason i quit superstar was my defenders were not jumping when the comp would shoot a jump shot. that bugged me so damn bad.

damn, i cant imagine not playing on superstar. Every other level seems to damn easy in 04

This game is unplayable without adjusting the sliders. That being said, I play on All-Star but will try out Super Star soon. My main thing is ending up with realistic stats and production from both teams.

Yep, ure right. Superstar level's the best. Other level are very very easy and boring, you win each game with at least 20 pts more than CPU in AllStar level.

I am at starter right now until i get (almost everything) down pat

Never a superstar

I have never played another level of LIVE other than superstar since '95.
I am having a hard time this year trying to run my offense and score.
I am really going to put some time in this year on freeing up my players for good looks.

All Star is not too easy this year. that's for sure.
The only way i'm able to hang in there against the CPU is if i let my cpu controlled guys defend the post.
It's weird. When i contest shots they always go in. When one of my cpu controlled players contests a shot, they miss. go figure....

in 04 i played superstar with all cpu sliders at 100 and all my sliders at 10, lol

it was the ONLY way i could hav close games, i still won tho... jus cause i played so much online that i got accustomed to that 'cheese'

and i played clean, no pro hop and shit, but still kicked a$$'


I HOPE 05 IS DIFFERENET!

I don't have Live 2005 yet but i've always played on All-Star. My purpose for playing is to relax and enjoy the game; playing on all-star just gets me so frustrated like most of you are. No sense in getting more stress and tension playing the game.

I have only ever played on superstar, and think I always will (even if i lose heaps) just for the challenge..... i need to win at the highest level, anything else feels too cheap!

All-Star in '04

Probably in '05 too.
