Are You A Moderator?

I'm not a moderador... I'm a sheriff... But we didn't have this image to put there, so I had to cope with that... I'd like to announce that I signed a US$ 84 million / 6 year deal with NLSC... I have a player option after 2006-2007... So it's all good...

And yeah everybody is a moderator now... We were free agents and NLSC contacted my agent and we made a deal... This doesn't work like the free agent period on the NBA Live series... But yeah, I assume Andrew thought the forum was growing and there was a need for more mods.

Lankyman, what point are you trying to make here? The NLSC has been discussing ways of improving the quality of the forums, and it seems the most colourful, insightful and intelligent posters happen to usually be the vets. I think the general thought was that the vets have been around long enough to deserve to be appointed mods. If you have a point to make, just come out and say it, don't make stupid polls that show absolutely nothing. At least you could go to NLSC Issues and make a poll that says "who likes the new moderators" or something at least relevant that could help the site.

If you wanted to know why/what was going on, PM one of the Moderators or what not.

Makes life easier for Andrew so he does not have to moderate entire site by himself. Now if he does not have a chance to come online like the past few days, he does not have to worry about locking/moving/deleting topics/posts for when he comes back. The moderators will help

I think it's a good addition, that's if you ask me.

i dont mind all the mods, as long as they do their job and dont act all high and mighty...

deserve to be appointed mods.

Come on.. it's not like moderators are the best posters, they should be the best moderators. Nothing to do with insight and posting and whatnot, everything to do with keeping order and knowing how to deal with people.

"Deserving" sounds like it's the ultimate achievement...

You weren't the first to suggest it. I had planned to do it some time ago but Tales had some unfortunate health problems (as some may recall) and wasn't around for a while. With Tales back in the fold, I figured he was worth $60 million over 6 years...but his agent managed to add another $24 million to the deal.

is really an unbiased way to get everone's opinion on the addition of the new moderators. How about, "What does everyone think of the addition of new moderators?"

And Rens you seem to like to argue my posts as well... lol dunno why, never said anything against you, always thought you were a cool guy. Obviously being a moderator isn't something you win, or deserve to be just because you've met a certain spefications. Like when you reach a certain amount of time after a joined date or something, you become a mod. Obviously this isn't what i meant at all, dunno how it came across to you. However, I think if you need moderators, and there is a vet who is an excellent poster, in that case they DO deserve to be a moderator, because if you picked someone else over them it wouldn't be right.

Does that make more sense, or am I going to be bashed some more? Because either way, Tales Jae and Stevan ARE mods, and unless you come up with an incredibly convincing editorial as to why they should not be, I would guess that they will remain mods.

God forbid we should have moderators who will promote competent posts and quality conversation.
