Unfortunately, that is probably the case. You can tell by the eyes that they were done using Trevors tool (Like Barkley), which is a great tool, but it makes it so the players cant blink or open their mouths. I can tell because they also have that cross-eyed look.

That's why I haven't converted more faces for use with the retro roster yet. I'm waiting to see if myself, you, or Shuajota end up doing the faces specifically for 2K20 that way the players are fully functional.

Do you think he cal also alter shoot animations?

My only guess is that Maya can open 2K files......I will download trial version and perform some test....

No, I cant.
First of all, it was not made by me. I have no right to share them.
Secondly, Chinese modders all have a program to encrypt files, which makes it impossible for players who get it to edit these files. Use machine code encryption in customized works. In other words, except for my own computer, other computers are invalid.
