Hello. I downloaded the modpack and the roster file for MyLeague but it still crashes in the offseason during the Team/Player option period. Is there a way to avoid this somehow? I reaaalllyy wanted to do a multiple season MyLeague with multiple different retro teams, so any help will be appreciated.

It is probably a contract issue that has been in the game for a couple years. There are a few historic players that cause the game to crash. Off the top of my head, I think 2 are Eric Snow and Scot Pollard. This roster was never designed for a multi-season MyLeague

Could you elaborate what exactly is the issue? And is there a way for me to fix it manually? Would deleting the players from the roster work? And how could I check which other players cause the issue?

Yes a simple fix is going into the players that have team/player options before you start a season and just change their contract. I assume it shows you the players with those contracts right before it crashes?

Should I remove the team/player options for all players? I get to my team's team/player option screen right before the game crashes and it is always empty, no players have a team/player option. I don't get to see the screen for the whole league unfortunately.

I haven’t tested multiple seasons because the roster was never designed for that due to the free agency pool. You’d have to mess around with it

hey i have a bug where the teams like the 05-06 Sixers show like a Nashville Stars jerseys instead of the actual team jerseys

Hope im not bothering you with this question. Are mr star and D43 faces included in this roster ? Also do you have a lits of the cyberface ids for your roster ? I want to make sure i have all faces possible

Mr. Star's Dwight Howard and Mehmet Okur are in the roster. D43's new faces are not in the mod pack right now

Thanks for this great roster ! Do any of you use other retro cyberfaces compatible with this roster ? This roster does not include that many faces. I have the same question for retro dornas. Its one of the main things missing.

Myself, and Shuajota are working through missing faces right now. It's a lot of work. Signatures, rating and tendencies also need attention, and Thunder Shaq and I have talked and I am working through the teams on my end.

The amount of teams he put in is the obstacle. Not a bad thing, because a lot of these teams are coveted and are fun to put on the floor, but with that many teams comes a mountain of work that you would not want to wish on any person. He was working on this himself outside of courts created by Sticky Fingers and a few other mods he was using, so its pretty awesome what he was able to achieve solo.

I know Mr. Star has made some awesome faces of retro players, and am not sure if he would give permission to use some of those in this project as long as he is in the credits. I was going to ask him and still plan to do so. I'm working on Orlando Woolridge right now, and will continue to try and do my best to fill out more of the teams.

Thunder Shaq and I have actually been in consistent communication about this roster throughout, and I'm really glad you put together what he did, it is getting a lot of downloads and people are enjoying it.

Let me know if you need help with certain players. I've been editting rosters for years now and I really tried everything to understand tendencies and attributes as well as badges. I'm quite a perfectionist with certain players, took me days to get a decent 01 Shaq and I'm still not completely satisfied with the way the AI uses him. But I love to work on that and tweak. If you have your own ideas of editting, don't bother. Just an offer.

I respect your guys work with the roster. Apart from the fact that it's classic and you add a lot of stuff, it also plays better than most rosters - decent editting.

Having same problem. Something has been changed on CE. You can't use them in 2k university either. Roster has sooooo much potential too!

Edit: I don’t think I have tried 36 teams. If it doesn’t work, it’s 2k’s fault for not being able to handle the roster, because there’s nothing I can alter that I already have not

I successfully converted the 86-87 Trail Blazers court to 2K20, this was retromans work from NBA 2K14, and a couple times for 2K17 he gave me permission to use the courts he worked on via conversion. So credit to him for the art.

I gave it floor ID f649.iff, and Thunder Shaq will have to release the court and the config file as part of the package. This was an important court, considering the one that was being using was the 90-91 court.






I also converted over the 94-95 Rockets court, as that court wasn't showing up for me.

Fantastic work. As you might know i did crowd mods before but that was for 2k14. It would be so fun to give it a go for this mod also. My only question is what format the crowd texture is saved in. I know it is DDS but what dxt ?

So I converted the one I pieced together for 2K17. So hopefully this will be in Thunder Shaqs next release.

I am just going through the courts right now to see which ones are incorrect





And just some food for thought, one thing graphically this game is sorely missing is brighter crowds. I mean, look how dark the crowd is on my screenshots.

Its great you are getting some work done for this roster Dee4three ! I started checking the crowd textures and i think i can make something of them. I just need some sort of list of crowds you would like and if you want to add them to the mod. I might have to start my own topic. I quickly did a Bobcats uni Need some fixing though.

Would be great to have multiple people working with this mod but thats all up to you thundershaq.
What would be amazing is to have somebody look at the cyberfaces available also and maybe create new cyberface ids for some ( like different lebrons or rookie KD )

Is there a reason I can't start a MyLeague or Season with the roster? When I try to I have to go to custom league but after I add 6 of the classic teams the game crashes. if I try current teams instead of custom league no teams appear....

I converted the 66-67 76ers court I was using for 2K17, so now that court will be accurate.

Pretty soon we will have 100% accurate courts

Note: The name of the arena can easily be changed in CE, those can be final touch ups. Kind of an eyesore that it says "The Spectrum"





Also, I do have the Cow Palace court that I could convert for the 66-67 Warriors. But the quality isn't great, so I want to see if I can touch it up a bit first.

Also, we really need help with cyberfaces. The 66-67 76ers and 66-67 Warriors are filled with lookalikes/created players. Both teams need many cyberfaces made, and I also made a list of many other faces that would help the roster be more complete on a previous page on this thread.

If you are a cyberface maker and want a fun and rewarding project to work on, this could be it. The bones for the roster are in place, it's just making it more accurate at this point.

I tried to create a new league with teams between 1981 and 1998, without adding more than 30 teams.
Same problem, it crashes to desktop before just after league team selection.

I tried Suns'93 vs Nets'93 playing in Phoenix. Court was of 2020 and logo of Nets of '00s.
Second try Rockets'97 vs Bullets'97. Court in Houston is of 2020. Jerseys of Rockets are 2020 and Bullets look like '70s

Are you talking about in Myleague? Because you can just do custom league with my Myleague roster and it should work. It seems when you go to 36 teams it crashes

I was talking about the roster in general. If i could switch the teams, it would be a lot easier and I wouldn’t have to set up a custom league every time. Is there a way I can do it?
