Exporting Model In Blender Error (I Need Help)

Hey guys.

I am pretty new here and am trying to learn all of this on the fly. I have been in the process of modeling some random character in blender and when it came time to export the file I have been getting this Error Message. I am not great at reading code, but it seems that this is a very simple fix.

I am trying to export hair for instance. I have the 2k importer-exporter. I have the Hair.scene file on the import dock. Now when i try to export, i make sure i select the same folder that the model and scene file are in and do not give it a file name. Then i click export and this image below is the error i am receiving.



At the end of the last line is says "ARE THE SAME FILE"

Please if anyone has suggestions or knows how I could resolve this issue that would be great! I spent a lot of time on this model. Would be unfortunate if it was for nothing..

I also get other errors such as "file not found".

What I tried-

1. exporting to same folder to replace
2. exporting to a new folder by itself
3. exporting to a new folder with the scene file copied

Installing several versions of blender (both with wizzard and without, both 32 and 64)

All installed properly, the exporter i am certain is installed correctly... Always get the same error messages.

Its because you can only export a file thats named hihead. Your file named hihead.001 and hihead.002 ill not export. If you are going to use another file for a reference point you have to rename that file to example 0000. Note if you're modding a body file then a hair file you must export the body hihead file then rename it before you import the hair file so that the hair file is named "hihead".

Thank you so much. I think this might explain why some of the time, it half works.

I don't think my issue if fully resolved yet.. but maybe.

So when i do this as you instructed, i still get a lesser error message that just says "file not found" As far as i can tell it still writes the model file, and i am still able to use and import it to 2k without issue. However, i did a little more digging and this was some of the text from the system window. It seems that it may have missing files? Does anybody know what the last lines of this text means or how i could fix it?

im having the same problem. im going to try to reinstall and if that doesnt work im going to use a new version of blender
