Nice upload. I know the All-star teams are one my favorite things to work on, nice to see it come to play.

There are some things you can edit through the modded folder, like general SFX (basketball bounce, rim noises). Here is an example from maumau that does that:

But with other audio edits like studio music, music in game and timeout/arena music, it has to be imported from the 2K17 explorer. Which means the original official files are overwritten... which isn't exactly ideal.

Yes 100%. If we wanted to we could replace the music in game with more retro stuff like NBA on NBC, or some 90s music. We would have to use the 2K17 explorer however to import the files.

It might just be easier to provide the entire archive that is being edited in the files (i.e. 0A, 0B, 0C), simply to avoid having to explain how to do it. But I'm not sure if this works, will have to test it.

What exactly are you trying to edit?

Mostly the jukebox and arena music to give it year specific feel.

I have done this in NBA 2k14 with the audio editor but have not done any editing for 2k17 or 19.

there's a tutorial for studio show in 2K19 tutorial subforum
it should work as well for other sounds/musics if you manage to find what you want to replace

Thanks for the info. I think I found that one by cujomatty. I will try it out. I am more interested in editing the jukebox and arena music. Has anyone confirmed that that can be done in this mod with the nba 2k17 explorer ?

jukebox can be edited in 2K17, so it should work in the same way in 2K19
for arenas, i guess you'll be the 1st to try

You need to use the latest exe and manifest file to load any archive up I'm pretty sure.
