Tue Oct 01, 2019 12:40 am
2K default basketball is so bad, now I use twist's basketball mods.
viewtopic.php?f=258&t=108004All screenshots were taken with twist's basketball and MJ23LB's NBA All-Star Court.
We can see the effects are applied on different objects such as muscle, jerseys and basketball.
I hope you enjoy it

Check 2K19 tutorial section, i've made a post about generic textures, i think it's related to those textures

I'm editing floor_centercourt_logo.0a0e5f974ebf86a2
but when I'm going to save in inter texture as bc7 8bpp fine linear 11 it doesn't let me save it tells me the following: could not create mipmaps

In all seriousness, does anyone know which values are necessary to get the effects showcased here? Is it simple within the s00XX.iff files? He hasn’t responded to a single comment on this thread or PMs, however I think the community would still like to recreate these effects.

I think the same, it would be good if they shared how to do it, but I suppose they were busy and could not answer. On my own I have tried to investigate and the files that most directly affect that kind of lighting effects and reflections that are all based on Michaelvlutz's work are minion_ibl_marker_specular that affects the reflections of the players' body and gru_ibl_marker_specular that affects the crowd and the rest of the stadium. The file minion_ibl_marker_specular feeling it very much I have not been able to edit it, nor investigate it, I don't know what the reason is, but it gives me an error in photoshop and other programs with which I have tried to open it.
For the rest of what Deybis works here with the reflection of advertising and bookmarks I made a thread last year where I explained in detail how to work those files in the arena.scene, items.scene and basquets.scene.
This is the thread.
viewtopic.php?f=241&t=106460I hope I have helped something, and that serves to make this game something much better among all. Thanks for listening to me

For lighting purposes, the file is also worked in the values "court_lighting_rig_1: vc_spotLight_0_shape": {from the s0xx.iff file you want in the arena.scne

He made a thread in last years modding forum, in great detail. That'd be a great place to start. I don't have the time to search for it right now, but it's got several hundred replies.

The "Michael Style" looks damn near perfect on my end 4K-8K displays.

Here is the thread:
viewtopic.php?f=241&t=106460This was not started by him, but he made several replies. Near the end of the thread, the author really goes into detail on how to tweak, what values to tweak, etc.

aok if I had already seen it thanks to that place it was that I took out the lighting effect of the dornas and other elements but the lighting effects do not speak about that no one is able to do a coding tutorial to continue moving forward however the new generation we still have a year to see what happens. ps5. xbox 2 hopefully 2k games surprise us and give us that pleasure to get to the pc and not happen as in the last generation that left us out with the great lighting that had the game 2k14

Bro release this recent one, I think this is as good as it's going to get without overdoing it! I design artwork for artists for a living an operate on a 8K resolution station an what you've done here looks flat out amazing. Does this have to be done for each team, or is this souly the global file?
