That is how they actually look like in most of the screen shots... They just look off and that's the bottom line. They say Live looks too skinny, but in reality the players are rather skinny than bulked up body builder types as in ESPN.
It just shows how much criticism are 2k fans ready to take. We've had the two guys posting about the superiority of the 2k graphics in about a dozen threads. I've had a look at them and compared them to Live and I've said that ESPN has better cyber-faces etc. Many of us have dealt with the guys with relative patience and debated with them. But the opposite side is like the ones banning VC/KG from the boards. Simply not wanting to hear what the other people have to say just blindly praising their new found god in ESPN 2k5...
You have to give props where props are due... In order to have some sort of a line of communication between these two hostile camps.
I don't want to bash ESPN, I don't want to bash Live unless I can back it up... I would like to know the average ages between the boards here and on ESPN boards so we would see that the average Live gamer is probably a bit older than ESPN since Live has a long history and has been the starting platform even for ESPN. If there were no Live, I don't think there would have ever been an ESPN game either.
Both exist because of the other. EA tries to up their game over ESPN and ESPN wants to do the same other way around... We users and gamers benefit from this situation, which is nice.
I've heard that ESPN is going to cost 20 bucks when it comes out. I bet that it will cost the normal game price here in finland. I ain't getting it cause I have no consoles, but just thinking out loud. Live is prolly going to be normal price as well. We get robbed that much at the stores here.
If someone came here and said Live sucks, I would ignore it or would ask for further information to their comments. Not ban them out right.
