This is all dependent on Trevors tool that allows mre to convert 2K17 cyberfaces to 2K20. If that process works, I plan on attempting to bring that roster over the 2K20.

Here are the teams I would add (Also, all default classic teams would be filled accurately). A few of these were not in my 2K17 roster, but am planning on adding them.

All teams will be compatible with myleague, and filled with the correct players. Not just these teams, but the default classic teams.

I feel like we had more people around for retro in 2016/2017 when I was doing this roster, and the thread over on 2K17 has over 250k views. However, I think it's worth putting feelers out to see who would be interested in this. The teams listed above are a realistic goal, and one that we should be able to do without impacting any of the now teams, all time teams, etc. With all of those new teams above, and the default classic teams filled, it would give users a complete roster that they can truly sink their teeth into. It would give you guys a lot more content while keeping all the great content that is already in the game.

If someone volunteers to help with the jerseys, faces, etc. That would be great. If not, my brother and I will try to do it on our own.

I know maumau, and Thunder Shaq are probably doing retro projects this year, so thats great. I think all of us are shooting for something a little different, so co-existing shouldn't be an issue. If Thunder Shaq would like to come over to my side and help with this project, he is more than welcome to. The list of teams above can be expanded, but thats the base I wanted to start with (Along with filling in the default classic teams and updating transactions for the now teams).

I think I can find the same balance, I really like how the 2K17 roster came out and was received. The bonus this time is that I can keep the current teams intact and even update the transactions as the season goes. And, I dont have to have a separate all time teams roster.

I have all my faces and portraits from 2K17 that I can convert over. So that is also a bonus. Obviously doing conversions takes some time, but to have those in my back pocket makes me feel more at ease with the whole process.

This game has a 2K11 vibe, maybe you noticed that so well.

Single seasons are gold. I still play the 91-92 season on 2k11, the 96-97 one in 2K10. etc. Good luck!

With young Iverson in the game, I will also be adding the 96-97 76ers.

I am going to start on the process this week of filling all the default classic teams accurately. Once those are filled, I will start adding new teams.

Current teams, all-time teams, all-decade teams will be kept intact. I will also fill out the all-time teams with the appropriate missing players, like Barkley/Miller/Sheed etc.

Question for anybody who may be able to assist (we may not have the tool or ability yet)

Any idea how to get the announcers to not say "ABC" or other nicknames? Importing player DNA doesnt seem to fix the issue. Obviously in order to make retro rosters this year, we will need to add a whole bunch of players to the default roster.

Currently, the only way to do that is creating a player first via create a player as far as I know. If we have the ability to CLONE TEAMS, and if the players are cloned along with it, that would give us a way around the nickname thing.

I am working on two teams for this roster right now, and ran into that issue.

02-03 Wizards vs 09-10 Lakers. 2010 Lakers court (Converted from URB, already received permission to use from retroman and Sko for 2K17, will reach out to them again to ensure its cool with them for 2K20) with EGS MLLR 2010 Kobe (proper credits will all be given when the roster is released, just like on 2K17).

Getting a lot of things in place so when we are able to physically add teams, I can do it a little more easily.

Currently working on editing Iverson in blender, because I think his face is a bit thin and his eyes are a little small. I'd like for him to have the proper face shape and body.

Still working on the cheat engine stuff and some of the signature stuff. But here's the first half highlights between the 09-10 Lakers and the 02-03 Wizards.

If I can't create new team slots, I may overwrite the all-time teams and give you guys 30 new classic teams to use. I won't overwrite any legends or other regular players.

And I figured out how to get rid of the nicknames! (Thank you for the players edit table for CE!)

Each player has the area that I highlighted. However, regular players are NORMAL and not generated. Created players are CREATED and generated.

I changed those two fields for the created players and it works 100%, they never use the nickname anymore.

Alright, so with all the new discoveries, it looks like I can accomplish everything I want to do. Here is I intend this roster to look.

1. 30-40 new classic teams, including some all star and USA teams if space permits

2. Updating the current teams transaction wise and putting in faces that are missing so your current roster is up to date for the release

3. Filling the all time teams with missing players (No CAP). So Sheed, Reggie, Barkley, etc

4. Filling the default classic teams in order for them to all myleague eligible and accurate

5. Unlocking the all decade teams and getting Barkley and Miller on them

Huge undertaking, but I'm determined to get this done. As far as a release, I want to wait until the NBA season starts, because that will give us the most accurate current roster to work off of.

If I decide to start the process earlier, I can use player DNA for the current roster and put players on teams that should be there, that would be pretty easy.

Started the process a couple days ago. Will just keep plugging away.

Keep an eye out for gameplay videos and other updates.
