2k19 Player & Texture MODDING

Hey guys, just got the NBA 2k19 for PC when it was on sale last month, so I'm just getting started this year.
Is MODDING for 2k19 the same as it was for 2k18--as far as Blender, Explorer, etc.--is concerned? I'd like to tackle some of the much-needed retro cyberfaces if the learning curve isn't too complicated.
Below is a link to The Goods' NBA 2k18 compiled YouTube Tutorials. Should I just check those out if I need some refresher info as I work on players for 2k19 or is there an important difference I need to know about modding before I get started? Any helps is greatly appreciated! THANKS!
