Why is Kendall Gill on the Minnesota roster?

Wow, I didn't know Jason Terry is on the Mavericks. I have to question some of the ratings. Gary Payton's at 70 and Chauncey Billups is at 71. I understand that ratings don't necessarily reflect how well they play on the court, but they are both point guards and GP is on the downside of his career while Billups is coming on.
Another thing, Okafor is at 70 and he hasn't played a single NBA game yet, and Chris Bosh is at a 65. I think I can understand why: just take a look at the Bobcat's overall roster

But overall, I think the ratings are done very well and fair.

so peja is 81....cwebb 77....
looks realistic..

keith bogans is a point guard? wtf....
hmmmmm jamal mashburn 66????
desmond mason 66....should be much higher..
rod strickland 60....??
i hope they don't have that thing where u reorder ur roster for whatever reason, say to start ur rookie so he can get better stats, then they replace him automatically with someone at his position with a higher rating....so annoying..

Forget about Strickland being 60...Why is he with Golden State and starting?
The ratings are never going to be perfect, but you can always edit them the way you like them. From what I seen, there are some flaws, but it looks pretty good.

I always thought that EA Canada and well, all the developers from Ea Sports should think about making "update disks" with roster updates as well as player model updates. They could put a disk in any one of the videogame magazines like GamePro, EGM, etc. Or even have it downloadable off the disk included in the XBox magazine.....

bogans was a natural point guard at kentucky but he was able to ajust to being able to play sg/sf as well becasue of his height 6-5 and weight 215lbs...

with george with 66 rating and j.jones with 58 and i can get a decent point guard when i trade them. that would be fun hehehe.

my question to those who edit ratings is, do you edit the entire league? i mean do you edit everyone who needs to be edited and do you do it fairly? i think bias can come into play sometimes and you might over edit a player you like alot on your team. anyone ever notice that they made a player too good?
Sat Sep 25, 2004 7:43 am
I have a rule where I can't raise a player on my teams ratings unless he really needs it (Hassell's defense). I make Olowokandi worse.
Sun Sep 26, 2004 4:55 pm
why is penny hardaway rated 61 should be 65 to 67
and tj ford's dunk is at 33 he catches alley oops in regular season games wat the hell serious updates have to happen and chauncey billups at 71 he was just fuckin finals mvp wat is goin on
