I'm not sure anyone even checks this section of the forum regularly but I'll take a shot here
I've been playing the awesome NBA Hardwood Classics mod from kdubmods
viewtopic.php?f=19&t=104003 He mentions that some of the computer-controlled players' actions are way off. I'm assuming this means that individual players have unique logic (not sure that's the correct term). Is that the case? I figured every player acted the same and the different attributes modified some of their actions. Does everyone have a unique set of logic?

Player AI from that era is very limited to say the least. The ratings do control things somewhat - you won't see Shaq regularly pulling up for threes, for example - but there aren't sophisticated tendencies, playcalling logic, or anything like that.

Interesting
Does a low rating in shooting cause that?

It does. I believe centres are also programmed not to shoot a lot of threes by default, since not many did back then.

That's what I figured. Like each position has a set logic that's tweaked by the attributes. Idk
Does the editing tool address this stuff? My computer can't open it. Too new lol

I'm not familiar with editing the Genesis version, but from my experiences editing the PC version, it's unlikely. Beyond the familiar ratings and bio data, there's not much to change.

Thanks for the info
I'll have to try to mess around with it
